It has a soft limit. Wasn't an issue two weeks ago at the other two events I've done.

Someone pranking you by loading a stock tune? Do you happen to have logs? My next best guess is that something else prompted a sudden timing pull from knock or ... well, who knows. I've never encountered something like that on an OFT tune, and I've had a couple events where I had to sit on it for a bit.

One other possibility - how are you disabling traction control? I've had that trigger a response like this.

So since then, I have referred to the internet, and am now reading that many either:

1. Install the SPC bolt in the top hole.
2. Install the SPC bolt in the bottom hole, then swap the oem lower bolt to the top hole.

What has everyone else done?
Pretty sure I can't achieve -1.75 front camber according to SPC's instructions.
I think you will need both crash bolts up top plus the SPC bolts in the bottom to get -1.75.

Just curious, how much fuel was in the tank?

I was essentially only logging the bare minimum for Track Addict as I was having some bizarre issues with it today. I've been on the limiter plenty before, this was the first time it behaved like this. I guess it didn't like the bumps.

That run was pedal dance, IIRC. Last event was just 5 second TCS press.

There have been minor fuel starvation issues with this car. Not as bad as like with my old Impreza where I had to keep over 1/2" a tank for autox, but that might be a possibility.

The pedal dance could be why as well.

Odd. I didn't have issues on track even with the fuel light on for ~6-10 laps.

I posted on facebook and everyone there had the same opinion, too low on gas Oh well.

Why do you think the pedal dance could cause it?

Track is a lot different than autox when it comes to the fuel tank.

Pedal dance causes my car to be all funky... I have no idea why it would cause it but maybe it might lol

On another note, the Ohlins are still great, lol. I ended up at 5 clicks front, 6 rear. I dropped tire pressures throughout the day and I like 32 psi front, 28 psi rear.

The tire pressures made a HUGE change in car behavior. It feels fantastic at the limit now, very neutral. Going a click stiffer in the rear loosened the car a little on exit which was much appreciated coming from a hot FWD car, haha. It was a little bit more prone to entry oversteer in a couple of places and if I was too aggressive on the throttle mid-corner it would step out.

I'm still debating if I want to do a front bar or not. The car feels so great that I want to just drive it and work on the driver mod.

I've never had the car fuel starve in autocross even with the light on.

I don't use the pedal dance at all, I've only found it to increase the chance of the ABS freaking out.

Nah, stock will bounce off the revlimiter like it's stupid all day long.

Yeah, I'd heard that about the fuel light too which is why I wasn't concerned about it being a fuel issue.

Had no issues with the pedal dance on the brakes this event, but I did at NNJR. Tried it one run and it pretty much halved my braking power because it was freaking out. I figured it would be worse yesterday because it's a LOT bumpier, but it behaved the same with or without pedal dance.

Hi Everyone! I competed for the first time in STX yesterday. While I had a ton of fun, I'm not really happy with the results. My best/clean run was 79.442, while first place got 69.XXX. Just about a 10 second difference.

What else can i do to my car to make myself more competitive?
What I have done:
Running on all seasons, this will be the first thing I will change
Full exhaust: OFT Header, Nameless over/front pipe combo with high flow cat, Q300
OFT with stage 2 tune, have not modified the tune. just what comes from Shiv
Eibach Pro springs on stock shocks

What are some other things I can do?
RS3's? Pulleys? Drive shaft? would it make sense to get new shocks or save up for coils?

Also here is the video of my run, Any criticism/advice is greatly appreciated!!

-Proper summer tires will gain a LOT of time when you learn to drive with the new grip. I'd say to not waste time on the RS3s, but realistically there's a lot to learn going from all seasons to full on FAST tires like the RE-71Rs.

-Upgraded driveshaft isn't allowed in STX, I don't remember if pulleys are allowed.

-I'd save for coilovers, but your current suspension will still let you have a lot of fun.

-You're not likely massively down on power, so don't worry about chasing that for now.

I can't watch the video here, but it's likely tires and driver mod that will gain you the most time.

Supposedly SJR has some good drivers, but I've yet to make it down there myself to really see how they compare to the guys I'm used to. I plan to at least once this year Do you plan on making any Philly region or BMC events this summer?
