I don't think the DBA 5000 series are worth the extra cost, but I am still loving my DBA 4000 series. I think I only paid like $700 along with a set of Hawk HPS pads for all four corners.
2004 STi rotors in 5x100. If the DBA 4000 are dual-drilled to fit 2004-2013, logic dictates that 2004 5x100 rotors should be the same dimensions as the 2005-2014, no? And if they aren't then hey, I got new rotors for my STi!

Only front rotors are the same. Rear rotors changed hat offset and such in 2008; you can NOT use GD STI rear rotors.

Not quite the answer I was looking for but oh well, like I said now I have new rotors for the STi for next year. One of my buddies has a hookup for DBA so I'll just wait a bit and get them once the calipers get back from powdercoating.

Sorry cupcake.

04-07 STI rotors from DBA are dual-drilled because the dimensions didn't change, only the bolt pattern did. Why have two P/Ns for what is essentially the same item?

08-13 STI rotors from DBA dual-drilled? Because swaps.

So, terrible news. One of the bleeder bolts totally stripped, and it stripped in a fantastic way. The bot was so heated, that when it stripped, it turned into a bullet wound. Machine shop now says they will probably have to drill press it, cannot guarantee the threads will be salvageable and may need to over side it, put in a sleeve and do other work to make a bleeder usable.

So basically, I have one messed up bleeder plug, could cost me over $300 to fix (yay Regina Canada for not having more machine shops to promote lower costs....). Do I just leave it? The other bleeder swapped over fine, the other caliper is good to go. should I just leave it as is and remove the caliper when I need to bleed the system (we don't do that often, right?) or should I hunt for a new caliper?

Opinions, thoughts?

^ In response to the above post, (which I could edit, but this just bumps a useful thread)

My father was able to take out the strip bolt and chase the threads and have it perfect in like 30 minutes all utilizing stuff he had in the garage. $300 at repair shop...free at my parent's garage...yeah, that's a win.
