I didn't have launch control on my ROM when I went to the track with my 265 street tires. I just tried to keep the revs at between 2000 RPM and 3000 RPM and leave without getting wheel hop. I wasn't very successful though.

Soon I'll be ramping things up. Presently I'm running with just wastegate spring at 10lbs.

If I were wanting to just stick with wastegate spring, what spring should I choose for more/max power on CA 91 and meth injection?

I'm thinking I could install the 14 pound spring and tune for that safely?

The Hydra can control a solenoid and do closed loop boost, I would just do that.

Has anyone had a leak at the oil pressure area? from the black 90 degree black piece that contacts to the stainless steel oil line?

Is it leaking from the pipe thread side or AN? If the pipe thread side then you need to use high temp sealant. If it is from the AN (cone shape) then you need to tighten it more.

It's leaking from the black 90 degree angle/line threading.. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1406082416.209110.jpg

so its leaking out of the stainless end? If so, grab the 90 degree fitting with a wrench and tighten the hose end. It relies on compression to seal

Hey guys. So the other day I swapped out the full blown 270 pump that came with my kit for a deatschwerks 265, because I was having issues with hard starting and every time the car was idled for a while it would start to die. I saw someone else had a similar issue on the forum and they said their fuel pump was just bad. We both had an issue with the fuel pressure dropping off after a while.

The new pump fixed the hard starting and issue with the car dying at idle, but now I have a problem with starting on steep hills, and the issue is repeatable. Every time I try and start on a steep hill, the revs get so low and I can put my foot to the floor but the car doesnt want to go (stays at like 4-6 mph and makes some shuttering noises), and the last time I tried it I think I heard the engine knock The only way I can start off a hill is by dumping the clutch at past 2.5k revs, maybe even higher. Going up hills is fine when I'm already moving, the car is fine WOT as well, it's just actually starting. I can start fine on flat ground or when the car is going down a hill. I even tried backing up a steep hill and had the same problem. I never had to start off a steep hill when I was running the full blown pump so I'm not sure if it happened then too.

I also have issues when I cruise at a steady rpm and randomly the car jerks, although I think I had this one with the full blown pump too.

Any ideas? If it helps, the car is still running the base tune (and pretty rich by the looks of it). Going to get it tuned next week. Could it just be an issue with the throttle mapping or something?

Sounds like the fuel pump pickup isn't sitting right in the gas tank, I would pull it out and make sure everything looks right.

Hm. That's interesting - I used 3 o rings when I put it together and it all snapped in properly. I guess I could check one more time....

Did you reuse the stock collar with the o-rings?

Looking at the below video and forum looks like that part can be an issue for many.

There may be air getting sucked up instead of fuel, because the o-rings aren't sitting right, which would make sense if your pump isn't full submerged in gas while on a hill. Hope this helps.
