I just got my Torque Pro working with my ODB reader after I upgraded my phone. I have gone so far as to get it connected but have not had a chance to do anything with it.

I wanted to say thanks to every one who is contributing to this thread and if a ITguru/car noob can help gather any information, please let me know!

215 is in Celsius (which is 419 in Fahrenheit). The value that is read is an 8 bit value, which makes the maximum 255. That is not the direct temperature though, to get the real value you subtract 40, and then you get it in Celsius. Since we are subtracting 40, the maximum can't be 255 anymore, instead it is 255 - 40, hence the 215.

Hope that clears it up a little bit.

Looks like we can already get all the information freely from the torque app? Do you know which ones aren't available through torque?

Do we know if Torque can be used after Ecutek has been used to tune/etc?

Someone posted a list of what torque will see.

I just found that you can set alarms. Very cool.

Right I've seen the list a bunch of times, but is every parameter still trackable AFTER Ecutek has been used?

Without further delay, here's the info:
OBD2 Mode and PID: 2101
Minimum Value: -40
Maximum Value: 215 (this is just the maximum that this location can support, which does not mean the sensor can read that high)
Scale factor: x1
Unit type: C
Equation: AC-40 (no space between A and C; "AC" is the location within the response)
OBD Header: 7E0 (Auto also works, but seems to take longer)

Just as an aside, I don't know if it's my OBD adapter, or the Header needs to be tweaked (corrected), or if the response is not always long enough but every once in a while I'll get a reading of 189 or 1840 which are both incorrect. I'm not familiar enough with torque to figure out where these glitches are coming from.

Enjoy!

Has anyone tried the 60-80mph timing feature in the torque pro app? I gave it a try the other day on a flat road and got 3.7s in 3rd gear, 5.0s in 4th, 6.6 in 5th and 8.0 in 6th. I'm curious what others are getting and what possible gains a tune will have on those numbers.

I got really excited because Sony are releasing a head unit with a thing called Mirrorlink which duplicates your screen to the head unit. More investigation reveals it only works with a few phones one of which is my galaxy s3. I really want to play with one to make sure it works with this app. If someone gets hold of one of these before me, please let me know if it works for torque!

Pioneer also have their appradio's which are similar.
