Exactly, my thoughts that's the reason why I didn't want to get an aftermarket one

The cats shouldn't be failing on you, even with track time. Our setup has more than 5 track days on it, and it's still there.

We'd actually be pretty upset if we destroyed our OEM cats, cuz we need to smog at some point...

It really hurts that you don't have logs, because the logs can probably point you in the direction of what caused the failure.

You recently mentioned destroying an OEM cat on an OEM tune. That failure shouldn't have happened either, obviously. What was the cause?

Leaning out and EGT being too high; the two go hand in hand.

cats didn't fail on me but it might be the root cause of the failure of the header.. it may also be a defective unit according to my tuner but since you previously mentioned you saw a few OEM failures at the track I think it's common. I have been logging but coincidentally I didn't log that day

Oh the cat failed due to the DI seal failure. Got it.

Kinda forgot that even happened...

Question to every owner... using torque, does your catalyst show incomplete/not ready or ready.

I need to get a tune that shows ready or I can't pass inspection.

What happens if you flash it back to stock?

what tune are you using?

The kit tunes should be fine from the information that was relayed to me.

If you're using delicious paid tune contact zach or bill and they'll sort you out. Apparently they leave the cat and evap off typically since in most states that works out fine. Can't comment on any other tuners.

I contacted both kw and zach about the same matter this week (i have kit tune and paid delicious), both responded to me with solutions in a very short timespan. A+ service for everyone.

Been driving the last few days on the new in house kw tune, its a big improvement over the original delicious kit tune. Not sure what I like better between the paid delicious and in house kw though. With just street driving its hard to make a real comparison.

Looking at the visconti tune it only shows O2 as not ready, and I should pass. I think with the delicious tune I had 2 not ready and would fail. I emailed bill but I don't think I'll get the tune in time. Going to get it inspected today.
