I will do both eventually I am just trying not to spend a fortune prior to spending a fortune to get tuned.

If @nelsmar can't get you a ride I'd be glad to give you one in my car. This thing on my higher boost setting pulls about as hard as my Evo did when it made 550whp. Funny thing is if I want more I can strap it back on for a few more hrs and make some really stupid numbers. I have a feeling I will run out of injector before I can maximize this turbo.

Personally I just blend my fuel... I tuned my car using a flex fuel setup and i typically run E40-E70. I just run some ethanol to cool it down. I make more power than I can possibly put onto the pavement so the extra power at this point is just not a bit deal past E40 for me. I just put whatever in at the time and typically fill all the way up if I'm at an ethanol station, and then if I know i wont be getting ethanol I fill up on gasoline when I'm at 1/2 a tank and that ethanol gets stretched to last a long while.

The only reason to upgrade your injectors is if you are maxing yours out and it is limiting you. If you go flex fuel you will likely need new injectors to handle the extra flow required for ethanol.

so for maxing out on 93 octane you think I should just stick with the stock fuel system?

Spinning is winning in our case. If it were to hook real good axles would be needed ASAP. I am actually thinking of buying a set of DSS anyways.

That's one of my next investments as well

Got my intake tube back from powder coating.

Guys, my tuner has just gone to fit the FBM 485 pump kit and is concerned as it doesnt seem to fit properly. It just seem to float around in the bottom of the tank (his words). Any suggestions or a link to some install instructions ? Just like my JDL turbo kit FBM didnt ship their pump kit with any instructions

Few other things:

The JDL exhaust doesnt reach to the pipe work after the turbo (could it be because my header didn't fit properly and is causing other issues further down the exhaust line so to speak??).

I still haven't received any water fittings for the turbo.

The 3 inch over/front pipe doesnt fit and is having a crease put in it later today (just as we had to do with the header as it was hitting the engine block).

I cant expect my installer to keep pushing my car around getting it in and out their workshop every other day. Fuck knows what my labour bill is going to be, car isnt even close to getting on the dyno yet. Anymore grief and I can see the lot coming off and going back to Phoenix in a big box at this rate.

Some support would help. Jesse are you there? I've sent a few emails and no reply....

Steve, just to let you know that I've experienced the same thing.
First it was the flanges, no instructions either (hey it only goes together one way, but would still have saved time) insides of pipes not finished properly. All pipes and IC end tanks full of 'flack'. Air intake pipe fouls on headlight plug, needed adjustment. Overpipe touching head (although I accept I had the first rhd one and was seeing if it was going to fit) but it wasn't my steering column causing the issue. No turbo coolant lines or fittings (were these apart of the kit, I would have thought so. If not, it should be made clearer.) . My installer didn't like how the downpipe sat, (had to force it to me the turbo) so while the flanges were being changes, he has added about 5mm to the top of the pipe. So lots of little niggley things. Just gotten sick of coming back here and updating.

I'm over it too, so don't worry. I'm just lucky I have a fabricator at my disposal. Between him and my mechanic I've just told them to do what they need to do make it perfect. Am taking photos of all the issues. Lots on my fb page. Otherwise I'll put them all up in one post when I do a review once it's all on.

Kit is still decent. It's just not the absolute premium this forum has made it out to be.

I'd hate to think what others are going through with some of the other junk kits.

Maybe I'm too fussy. I don't think so.

All the stopping and starting, fiddling, adjusting, it eats up so much time. Time I'm going to get billed.

Pay to play I guess. The point I want to stress is that if you're considering this kit, there is still fiddle work, tidying, finishing, adjusting. Time. Money. It's not a "install in your garage with minimal tools in a few hours" certainly not based on my experience so far. Although I'd like to think these issues lead to better kits for others moving forward.

Yeah unfortunately I don't have a fabricator in my phone book and tbh had I thought this kit needed one I'd have gone elsewhere.

It's crystal clear my actual kit and exhaust (in gtx config) was not mated up and test fitted before being shipped. It It would have been good if this could have been done knowing that I'm thousands of miles away.
