Auto blip would be neat but it becomes second nature when you do it enough. About that LC & FFS on the D00C's though...
Not to rush ya shiv, I've just never had a car with either so I'm just itching for it!

If I were to order an OFT next Thursday, is there any chance it would ship out that day and with an option of 2 day USPS Priority Mail? Would really like to flash the ECU on Saturday!

Wouldn't auto-blip sort of make a manual transmission automatic?

Not really because you are still manually shifting the gear lever and pressing the clutch. The only thing you aren't doing is blipping the throttle during downshifts. So it takes the place of a driver learning how to heel-toe downshift which is first step of learning how to drive efficiently/smoothly. I learned it 20yrs ago and now I cannot stop doing it even if I tried. In fact, i finally got myself to stop double-clutching every downshift recently. It was a habit ingrained from of a year of driving a synchro-less dog box in my WRX. |

Not at all. It just blips the throttle for downshifting to match revs. Not a horrible idea but it doesn't always predict the shift correctly and, when you're already in the habit of doing it yourself, it results in some ugliness.

I know this has probably been answered already, but I just can't dig through so many pages of info.
I'm currently running lightweight pulleys, the Revworks UEL Header, TRD Intake, Invidia Resonated FP, Invidia OP, and Invidia N1. I'm planning to pull the trigger on the OFT soon and was wondering if this setup works well with the OFT Stage 2 UEL tune with E85. Also how would this setup work with the Crawford Blocks? And noticeable power gains? Is manual tuning needed or is there a preset function in the OFT for them? |
