Hi calmtigers,

PM sent.

Visit our commercial thread for pricing, purchasing and the like.

A base tune file is included, but you may also tune with OFT.

Minus the catback/header-back, you are correct. The base ECU calibration was created on an entirely stock vehicle with exception of our WORKS high-flow drop-in air filter installed.

This is at the top of my list.

One more question that I haven't seen:
Does the kit include a MAP sensor? Either way, what pressure MAP sensor is the base tune assuming? 3 bar? Stock?

Runs off the MAF not MAP.

I'm VERY excited to see this kit and I hope it passes its CARB certification. I'll be awaiting that information and track impressions of people with this kit, but it works out perfect with approx 15k more miles until my warranty is up. Keep up the great work guys!

And fwiw, your base map that comes with the kit appears to get the car up and running well enough, but you recommend taking it to a tuner to get it dialed in better. Is my understanding correct?

Thanks,

Bret
Thank you very much!

The base tune is intentionally conservative due to the need for a degree of safety when creating a tune that will be used in many different cars in many different environments.

We recommend custom dyno tuning from a competent tuner if you want to get the very most out of your setup, but it is, of course, not a necessary procedure.

Cheers.

I've been very interested but missing or misunderstanding numbers. What can one expect with just this kit and a high-flow air filter running on the base tune?
-The dyno from ghost is at 7.5psi, with aftermarket exhaust
-The description says up to 92hp gain, but the dyno on page 4 looks around 75whp gained. (225-150) Dyno also includes aftermarket exhaust...

Not bashing anything; it looks great. It's just a huge investment, not to mention for anyone being an early adopter.

The dyno graphs that works released will be very close to what you can expect. They aren't gaining much from the front pipe, and the header is still OEM.

Works also quoted crank hp numbers in their 92hp gained statement, not whp.

Tyrant is correct.

The dyno graphs display readings at the wheels.

The quoted gains are, as it states, at the crank.

Lastly, as he explained, the dyno graphs we published will be very close to what you can expect from just a high-flow drop-in air filter and Stage 2.

Cheers.

Our intercooler radiator blends in nicely behind the grill.

It's official!

The WORKS Stage 1 and Stage 2 Turbo Kits are the first FR-S/BRZ turbo kits to be granted a CARB Executive Order!

Under CARB Executive Order D-748, the installation of our WORKS Stage 1 and Stage 2 Turbo Kits are exempt from the prohibitions of Section 27156 of the Vehicle Code for 2013 through 2016 model year Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S vehicles.

What does that mean? 50 state smog legal versions of our Stage 1 and Stage 2 Turbo Kits will soon be available!

Stay tuned for more details and pre-ordering.

Cheers,
WORKS Motorsports

Great news guys!!!

Can't wait to see a couple of these kits out in the wild! I'm running buttonwillow race track this weekend and it's 110 F outside right now... how do you think the turbo kit will hold up in this kind of heat during HPDE's?

(And yes, I already have an oil cooler. lol)
