No sense throwing your money away on the rear HP+'s. These cars are much harder on the front brakes than the rears, and the front DS2500's will see you through until the rears arrive.

Assuming you don't have six track days in the next four weeks, and you won't be burning through your OEM rears during that time, that's the route I'd take.
Jeff - thanks for all the great data in multiple threads. I see there aren't a lot of rear options for the FR-S/BRZ just yet. Do you have any timeline for additional options? For example I'm curious how soon the rear RC5+'s will be available....

Thanks!

Just checked the website. Silly question, by why are the rears more expensive than the fronts on the Ferodos?

Probably because it's a new application, can't share the r&d between other models? That's my guess i could be wrong.

What would be different from the fronts? Just sizing, I imagine the compounds and construction are the same.

The pads I've seen are always cheaper in the rear than the front.

If they make 1 million sets in wrx front size but only 10,000 sets if lgt rear size then it would make sense for the smaller pads to cost more.

Endless front BRZ shape is:
EP386

Endless rear BRZ shape:
EP472

Please PM me if you are interested in any of their pads. Thanks.
JRitt >> can you PM the price for Endless MX72 both front and rear for stock BRZ Caliper?

I would agree in normal circumstances, but are the rears going to be a limited production run? Based on a lot of comments in this thread, the Ferodos are really highly rated and many people seem anxious to get them. Why wouldn't they produce them in high quantities?

They simply won't sell as many as they will for the fronts.

Hi there. Could you confirm if the part numbers i've got here of FCP1639 and FCP4187 are correct for DS2500's?

Do not get HPS. Soft pedal feel, no bite, will fade at the merest hint of semi-serious usage. In my experience, WAY worse than stock AP1 S2000 pads (which are not serious performance pads by any stretch). Sucky feel on the street and a real safety issue at the track. HPS are good for NOTHING.

Tried Hawk HP+ on my car and found that they wprked well on track but were very grabby, dusty, noisy and ate rotors on the street.

Based on that, IMO for a dual use pad, rotor friendliness is a critical thing to look at.

Ferodo DS2500s all around seem to be an interesting option...but impossibke to find rears for my lower-spec car which uses 2008 WRX rear calipers.

the Endless MX72s (on the Essex site) also look promising but unsure about availability for OEM calipers.

Open to suggestions...!
