I ran 7 x 20 minutes on the track this weekend with Ferodo DS2500 in front and stock pads in the rear. I liked the brake feel and the bite, no fading. I had the same amount of break dust in front and rear. For street driving you get more break dust in front. I was running 225/45-17 Michelin Supersports. The only thing; I feel a vibration when I am braking now in the front. I feel it when the brakes are cold and I brake hard. It feels like ABS braking when it is slippery only weaker. Could be a damage to one of the discs. I did not use the handbrake after the track sessions and I am pretty sure it is in front. Any one that have an idea what it could be and why?

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to announce that we are now an official Endless brake pad and fluid distributor. We are now working directly with Endless Japan. Some of their people were actually visiting us at our offices yesterday. We can get any of their street or race compounds in the OEM FR-S/BRZ shapes...MX72, ME22, N35S, etc. Endless front BRZ shape is: EP386 Endless rear BRZ shape: EP472 Please PM me if you are interested in any of their pads. Thanks.

I mainly wanted to post this for existing Endless customers or for those who have been planning to try them; to let them know that we are now a potential source. Thanks!

Go with ferodo ds2500 , great pad for street/track low noise great bite and does not catch on fire quickly. Google Essex parts the carry it for our cars. Best pad on the market IMO

Pads
I am looking for brake pads for several track days a year and mostly DD. I was hoping to keep the pads on all year. I am willing to put up with some extra noise and dust, but as a DD it can't be excessive. Would like to not trash my rotors too quickly either. Ferodo DS2500 seem like a good fit, but are not yet available for the rear.
What do you all think about: 1) Ferodo DS2500 in the front and HP+ in the rear. 2) Ferodo DS2500 in the front and OEM in the rear. 3) Any other suggestions? Thanks. |

We're only about a month out on the Ferodo DS2500's for the rear arriving from Italy. If you can make it another month, I'd recommend going with the Front DS2500 asap, and getting the rear DS2500 as soon as they are available. In the meantime run the OEM rears. No sense throwing your money away on the rear HP+'s. These cars are much harder on the front brakes than the rears, and the front DS2500's will see you through until the rears arrive. Assuming you don't have six track days in the next four weeks, and you won't be burning through your OEM rears during that time, that's the route I'd take.

You were probably right. It was gone after a few days.

but they're expensive if you're getting Bobcat. Unless you know of some other place that sell cheap? I can get a set of Front/rear Hawk HPS for $150 shipped. If you get the Ax6 or Xp's ...then i guess thats understandable.

Anybody tried the Dixcel pads? Only the M-type and Z-type only available so far. These are the more expensive types. The lower end ES and EC types coming out soon.
Just want to change pads for daily drive and maybe once a month track day (no competition). Stock suspension (soon to be replaced with Tein Street Advance) and 18s with Nitto Invo. Thanks for the inputs! Last edited by danscar; 10-07-2012 at 02:05 AM. |
