Looking for more impressions on this driveshaft...does anyone else have and updates or impressions of this shaft installed?

I would love to pair this cf driveshaft with a 4.55 final drive, exhaust, and tune and call it a day...

If I'm reading this thread correctly, a flexible driveshaft is more desirable than a rigid one? But wouldn't it absorb and thus waste engine power?

My high school physics tells me there's no perfect spring in the world. All springs absorb some energy...

I guess the question is does this CF DS absorb more or less energy than the stock steel one?

Xcatly, which is why you can get away with stock axles but a cf shaft on some builds, because when you launch the car the shaft absorbs some of the power

Did PST ever develop a production carbon fiber driveshaft for the automatic?

I'll give this a bump because I'm curious about it for the auto as well.

I'd like to know hoe you torqued these bolt/nuts, what attachment?... Last time I messed with shaft I can't see how there's room for anything other then a standard wrench??

It would be a pain with anything but an open ended torque wrench unless you got very creative with attachments and very shallow sockets.

Thanks,
Rick

I got one about 5000 miles ago. no issues

No noticeable performance difference at low rpms (nothing happens in this car at low rpms) but you will definitely notice how it "spins up" when you are going north of 4k.

You can even chirp 3rd if you're careful enough.

I recommend it.

Also got mine at rallysportdirect

For the cars with notchy tranny issue even with MTL fluid change.... does the 1 piece drive shaft fix this issue? I noticed from time to time the suspension and the 2 pc flexing causing 2nd gear shifting difficulty.

Why do you attribute suspension and a 2 piece drive shaft to difficult gear change?

driving and turning on uneven road and shifting gears from 1st to 2nd gear. I'm looking for a solution to this annoying issue. If you have something contribute...would be nice.

I'm sorry I do not but this is the first time I have read of this. Not the difficult 2nd gear change but the suspension and drive shaft being the cause.
