I'd like to add that having the CF driveshaft you have one less u-joint and bearing to wear/fail creating unnecessary friction and power loss. I've actually had to replace a ujoint for our Tacoma truck due to wear in saltwater + muddy enviroment. It's just one less to worry about.

I hope so. I wanna buy one soooo bad! All we need is 10 people to encourage them to make them. Right Rick?

@RallySport Direct

Fixed that for you.

Heat tolerance is almost entirely up to the resin used to make the shaft. The carbon fibers themselves can withstand relatively high heat with absolutely no issues as long as they're not exposed to open flame.

There are many different resin systems with different heat tolerances and glass transition temperatures, I'm sure that PST has chosen a resin that can withstand the typical temperatures found underneath a car.

Hey guys!

So recently we have been getting quite a bit of requests for the AT Carbon Driveshaft, and while I will not open up another thread right now, if you are genuinely interested and could commit to a 50% non-refundable deposit, please Email or PM me and we can get a list going. I was thinking about starting up a new thread in about a month, but if we can get at least 5 people committed earlier than that, we can collect payment info and get the order in to PST.

Thanks!
Rick

Indeed! Not that I would worry too much about the stock U-joint or carrier bearing failing, but I figure anything you can do to make the system more simple is always a great idea. Plus the performance gains from this mod make it even better

Thank you for this! And yes, these can withstand very high temperatures as they are designed to cope with the harshest racing conditions. We have yet to see any Carbon Shaft fail or fatigue due to heat.

Yeah I felt the same way too, but once we put these on our shop cars and I had a chance to experience the before and after, I am a true believer in the benefits of a Carbon Driveshaft. If you have any one local to you that has a Carbon Driveshaft installed, I would ask them to let you drive the car, or at least take you for a ride. It really makes a very nice difference

Thanks,
Rick

The torque specs are 54.6 ft/lbs and we did not use loctite on ours, but if you were worried about it, I don't think it would hurt. Just make sure to use a lower strength version incase you need need to remove the bolts at a later time.

Thanks,
Rick

So people that have the pst shaft any vibe issues, nvh or such? They don't appear to be externally balanced like DSS cf shafts so I'm curious. Not based on rpm range but rather when you get up into the 60-100mph range. What's peoples thoughts on PSTs now they been out awhile?
