Open ended lug nuts will always get rusty. Doesn't matter if they're $50 or $5000.

i run mcgard spline drive plus lock. i used a set on my gti as well (with stud conversion). finish is guaranteed for life. for the insane number of times i have taken wheels on and off of the gti there has never been a mark on the lugs, so the lifetime warranty will probably never be used lol. they have the free spinning base as well so toque specs are on point and consistent. plus they are around $100 for a set, with the locks

Yea, thanks. I am debating if I'm going to go. 8 runs all around sounds like quite a long day.

Got my exhaust installed today, initial impression from the drive home is great, exhaust has a deep tone when accelerating but is very quite when idling and crusing and i noticed no drone. My setup is perrin overpipe, invidia catted front pipe and ft86 speedfactorys catback with my header on order

I'll be there in RTR. I can guarantee it will not last NEARLY as long as last Saturday at FedEx. Left my house at 6:30a, returned to my house at 7:45p, then did it again Sunday but only until noon.

It was a fun event, but I clearly had no idea how to launch. My reaction times were okay, but my 60' times were terrible. A few local guys did well. The drag racing element is a bit intimidating and REALLY affects your time. Oh well, I'm getting there with my setup... Results.

Also, BMW Club is running at Bowie this Saturday. I think the morning session is full, but I'm sure there are spots for the afternoon. I'll be there in the morning before I head to Summit Point for the kart enduro. Sign up link here.

Anyone catch the GT-R vs Audi A8 in motor trend this month. I thought it was funny that in reference to the seats in the R8 they said:

"The seats are comfortable. They feel kind of cushy, but they're not as racy as I might've expected. They don't hold you like the seats in a Subaru BRZ -- that'll piss 'em off."

I bet it will do that very thing.
