He asked for everyone's thoughts, then got butthurt when people started being honest.

If you want to shoot 12 foot artificial flames out of your exhaust pipe, fine...just don't expect sympathy once you melt your bumper or get sued.

Btw don't take my response too seriously. I didn't take yours that way and I can understand why someone wouldn't understand.

same concept...same result...same opinion.

OK, I'll admit...I was being pretty harsh. Let me explain my opinion a little. Mods like this are designed to attract attention. They don't really enhance anything on the car...it doesn't make it look better or perform better. Their purpose is basically to scream LOOK AT ME DAMMIT. The intention is to get people to think/say "woah, that's so cool", but that's not the reaction you're going to get...at least not with this car. It's a little more acceptable on hot rods, because they are so custom that their very presence screams LOOK AT ME. This car...and any other mass-produced car...does not have that same presence. Trying to force it just makes people laugh at you, think you're an idiot, think you're a "ricer", etc. Basically, it will have the exact opposite effect you're looking for. You will be getting people's attention, but will not win over their hearts and minds and think you're captain awesome and get women to throw their panties at you. You're just going to get sneers, laughs, and rolled eyes. So, you're going to go through a lot of effort to install a system that will make people think you are an immature asshole.

If you do it naturally, at least you're getting performance out of it. Flames out the exhaust look cool...I'll admit. But doing it on purpose is like cheating...like a fake BOV or speaker turbo. Natural exhaust flames show that you have some serious shit going on under the hood. Unnatural (fake) flames just say you have a load of shit between your ears.

Uh laundry and tanning? I suppose you're mocking the fact that I'm from New Jersey, whatever.

I was just pointing out that a lot has changed, new influx of users and new 'modifications' I'm seeing everywhere. Not really my cup of tea anymore.

It was a jersey reference. Like I said I get it where other ppl wouldn't like it. I just think it would be cool to do this without spending that much money or running that rich, also I've been around for a while, this is just my first ricerish thread.

Either buy one of those flame thrower kits(personally think its a waste of money) or boost your car and just let it happen naturally.

My SRT-4 usually does it when I let of the gas after a pull or while wot shifting.

Well, this thread was far from being constructive to begin with, and now it's just become a soapbox for dissent.

Glad my lunch break is over. Cheers!

Spraying anything flammable into the exhaust...gas, liquid, solid, plasma...for the sole purpose of producing flames out the exhaust pipe is stupid for reasons I explained in my last post.

I like this response. With all seriousness this made me change my thoughts on this. It is well thought out and makes a very good point.

posts like this just add fuel to the fire. Personally I think only a flamer would want do do this to their car. This whole conversation needs to be extinguished.
