I want to shoot flames from my exhaust.

I've seen set ups in hot rods where they inject flammable gas in the exhaust stream and have spark plugs near the tips. What are your thoughts?

Instead of spark plug trickery you could do what it takes for it to happen on it's own.

Just stick a Cherry Bomb in your tailpipe--that'll give you some flame action.

All you need is boost and no cats. The richer the tune the more poppy it will be.

also, meth injection helps

As stated this is usually from rich tunes, it's easy to get to flair up because a quick WOT blip will cause it to go CRAZY rich when the throttle closes. Once the hot fuel gets somewhere with oxygen it burns.

I suppose with the direct injector you would have the option of adding fuel while the exhaust gas is getting pushed out. You might even be able make it have constant flames if you really wanted. I don't know if ecutek or unichip would allow a tuner to do that.

In theory it might even cool the combustion chamber enough to allow a little more power. If you can it would even reduce the amount of rice that comes out of the exhaust with the flames.

Is this what the forum has come to? I step away for a couple days and people are trying to shoot flames out of their exhaust? Damn

Where's the "kill it with fire" meme...

No kidding. One guy wants to put flashing LEDs all over his car in one section, and another wants to shoot F&F flames out in here. What the hell is going on? Did another Fast and Furious movie get relea......oh yeah.

Damn, what's this world coming to? Someone on the internet wants to do something you don't want to do. Shouldn't you be picking up your laundry on the way to the gym after you go tanning?

It's not just something "unique". He's talking about potentially injecting flammable gas into his exhaust and igniting it. That is fucking stupid. Exhaust flames should be left as a byproduct of modification, not as the end goal.

Drift-Office 06-11-2013 04:43 PM

Yes, it might seem a little juvenile but it's all in good fun right? The OP isn't suggesting that YOU do it, it's just what he wants. C'mon guys, I'm sure we're not a bunch of elitists... right? :)

I didn't say I was gonna do it. I just was thinking about it. I didn't say anything about injecting liquid into the exhaust.
