It's most likely the one off the BRZ.

My BRZ has the auto-dimming mirror with compass and homelink. I like it Almost all the dealers near me had performance package #1 installed on all their Limited's which includes the above plus the wheel locks and rear bumper applique.

It was on my BRZ from the factory...at the time I was shopping for a stripped car so I used it for negotiation but I'm really enjoying the auto-dim. I could live without the dumb red lcd compass read-out. Unfortuantely you can't turn it off permanently only until you restart the car again.

I've had other cars before, with and without the auto-dimming rearview mirror... by far one of the best investments you can make especially if you drive a low-riding car like ours. It was one of the dealer otions that I insisted they add on before I bought my car, along with the rear spoiler.

Alot of "regular" headlights on SUV's & trucks will be shining right into your your mirror when they're behind you on the road.. With the auto-dim mirror, you won't have to keep tilting the mirror down to keep the lights from being too bright. Even if you have a 'legal' shade of tint on your back windows (like me), the auto-dim mirror still helps out a lot.

I was just thinking about my love hate relationship with my auto dimming-compass having-home linking monster of a Rear view in my BRz.

I really only like the auto dimming feature, the rest is rubbish. I much prefer hitting the button on my keychain FOB to having to re adjust my mirror every day because i am ham fisted and move the mirror when i push the buttons....and the compass is almost insulting...only rental cars should have a compass.

I had one installed on my FR-S and I LOVE it. As someone else said, it is a must have for how low our cars sit. The added bonus of not having to deal with a separate box for an opener is a plus.

Anyone experience a bit wobbly mirror? Mirror assembly itself is a great quality, but the plate that attaches to the window seems to move a bit. Whenever I adjust the mirror, the whole plate also moves a bit. I can still adjust to my sight, but I have to be careful though.

Do you have any pics of behind the mirror to see the wiring?
