US soldiers overseas can afford a $500 console, but don't have internet access 24hr a day 7 days a week. They in some cases can't get internet at all.

PS4 also has cloud technology coming out too, so that answers your later questions. And you STILL don't have the stipulations as with MS. Sorry, MS strategy just got turned upside down.

That's a really weak argument, at best. If you forget the game disc? LOL really?

I mean, yea, it's cool that it's digitally available, but what if your friend lives in the boonies, and only has DSL or worse, satellite. You really want to download a 20GB game over that? Only 65% of americans have high speed internet in their homes.

What if your friend has an XB1 with a proprietary, non-upgradeable HDD and it's already full? Better remember that game disc.

MS got owned, hard. I'd actually be realllllly surprised if they didn't change some of these "features" before release. I have a hard time believing they would try to market this console with it's current configuration after getting owned badly by their number 1 competitor. Then again, MS's biggest flaw has always been it's rigidness.

I would actually be surprised if MS recants their position. They are a little pig headed for that. I mean they have been digging into the pockets of it's gamers all this time, why not make more money off of them right? Sony is now stepping up 1-to-1 with Playstation Plus to the Xbox Live with it's now requirement to purchase in order to play multiplayer. But media spin on things is that the P Plus is superior to Xbox Live with it's perks that you get. I've never had the P Plus account. I'm also mostly into single player. But I'll have to get one with the PS4, cause I will want to play multiplayer on Gran Turismo 7 from time to time.

Now what are the spec differences between the 399 and 599 ps4 models? we are celebrating the 399 price tag, but will the 599 model be more on par with the xbox than the 399?

First world problems. Don't like it, don't buy it. I'm buying both because both offer great gaming and entertainment experiences. Haters gonna hate.

Sony already screwed me into buying games multiple times with the PSP. They're keeping the exact same strategy while MS has looked for a more modern and connected solution. It has drawbacks, but nothing that affects my day to day life.

Specs wise, the 399 is already "better" than the Xbox. It's got faster memory and supposedly faster graphics. I think the 599 will probably be a bundle with Eye and Move with a larger HDD and possibly a game or two.
