BRZ backup camera issues

Alright hopefully someone can chime in and help with this

I installed a Kenwood c-mos 200 on the BRZ, the camera was previously installed in my 2011 STi with no issues, I purchased the beat-sonic adapter and wired everything how it should be.

The issue I'm having is the radio not switching to the camera when I put it in reverse, but it works when I'm in the diagnostic menu as it should, put it on reverse and I can see the camera and the lines, but not when the radio is on any other screen.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

How did you wire up the power to your backup camera? You need to make sure that it is powered from the headunit itself or from a constant power source. The camera has to be powered on when the head unit first turns on. If it is not, it will not be detected as an option and the factory head unit will not switch to the camera when you go into reverse. If you're powered off the reverse lights, then you would see the reverse camera come on in the diagnostics when you put the car in reverse.
