Poll: Xbox One or PS4

There's no way in hell i'll buy another sony console after the ps3. The whole UX is just vastly inferior to what Microsoft has going on nowadays. Like, why does it take 3 friggin' hours to download a 1 gig (mandatory, can't even skip it just to play) game update when i have 60mbps internet? the whole interface, online experience, etc. is very substandard next to the xbox equivalent. it's actually funny, since ps3 was marketed more towards the 'center of your living room' pitch, they dropped the ball huge on the execution.

ever since forza started whoopin' up on gran turismo, there's just nothing else on it worth buying the whole cow for. i hate to say it, i was a playstation fan for years, but i'm going xbox-exclusive next round.

Omg xbox one is the worst marketing name ever. When this thread mentioned it I thought they meant the original xbox from 2001.

I'm running a Phenom II x4, 4gigs of ram, and a radeon 5770. plays anything decently.

CM storm scout case is the best, has a handle for portability and has lots of other features/goodies



My vote would go for PS4. I really like the PS3 platform after playing with it for the first time last week (I'm way behind the curve there), it was a decent platform to run apps like youtube and netflix, much better menus than xbox, had better features for the end user.

PCs! Whoo!

I still have a very old something or other I got from Dell in 2008. I've since added RAM, a bluray drive, and about 2TB of storage. Currently with a nice old Core 2 Quad 2.66ghz, 8GB ram, nvidia 550 TI (after the old 8800GT fried). I don't game on it whatsoever, but it does just fine with my Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere! I think the last PC game I played was Unreal Tournament 3, which was pretty cool.

In the US, 360 outsold PS3 almost 2:1, Europe was pretty close with an edge to PS3 (5:4) and Japan was a 9:1 victory for Sony, but with significantly lower overall sales. Worldwide totals both PS3 and 360 at 77 million units each. Just depends on which demographic you're in and what genres of games you like. Sony and their fans have spent the last week or so belittling and berating a system while supporting one they haven't even seen yet. We'll see what happens at E3, but the real story won't be told till Holiday buying season.

What's there to belittle? They haven't shown anything yet, other than a controller that still suffers from being laid out in a 20 year old design. Most complaining I've seen is still about PS3. All we know about PS4 is that it plays games, as if that wasn't a given.

Until you realize the hard drive is embedded and not swappable. Or you want to go over a buddies house and bring a couple games with you. I don't know about you, but I own more than 20 games.

Opinionated article writers didn't make the crappy design choices that MS did with their new "gaming" console.

Until theres more depth to the way this works, it does state "unlimited" cloud from what i read, meaning all ur games not 20, but again ill wait for more details. And it would be suprising for them to embed to hd, as all xboxes so far had the option to upgrade that, and the embedded hd in the ps3 has been a huge negative to users

Seems neat but then you realize, no internet = no gaming. Im not paying hundreds for something that wont do anything unless its feeding off the web.
