Bahahaha... the tragedy will be when I trade the car in after four years, because at that point it really will be dead to me. Unless I get another grey or silver car... then the spirit of GREYWIND will live on...

I've been looking at a lot of pictures of the 10 Series FRS online and am amazed at how the blue and green hues in the paint show up in different lighting conditions. I'm assuming that in full/bright sun it will just look... silver though? Can't wait to see real life pics this week from the lucky owners on the west coast!

I'm thinking Ignition Silver is a pearl finish by another name. If so, the pearl Lexus vehicles I've owned always looked best in direct sunlight, changing color depending on viewing angle to the sun, and the color change was profound. I've no idea how the finish geniuses do it but like I've posted before it's SEMA worthy.

It's the cloudy/rainy days that made the silver cars, like the pearl white cars, look generic.

The 10 Series numbered plaques should have been slotted there, similar to the first 86 who were selected. Not sure if I like the location underneath the window & lock controls.

No sorry if I confused you, you can still get that plaque you showed us. I was mentioning that the center console area should have been where the 10 Series numbered plaque should have went. I like your idea of a custom one.

Yeah, mine was 5/24, but it hasn't shipped yet. Estimated shipping 6/16. I'm wondering if it's part of the same batch.

I don't care about delays, I'm very picky about handling and knowing the condition of my vehicle. I don't let anyone else touch my vehicles and perform my own mods and maintenance on all my cars. When I picked up my spec'd MR-S, I picked it up w/ the plastic film still on unwashed. Told the dealer to refrain as much as possible on the PDI.

Anyone else w/ a build date and got the same notice as Torq? I'm wondering if mine is the same situation as Tork's but worded differently by the dealer.

Does anyone have a later build date than 5/24 that has a car on a boat or sitting at the destination port currently?

I did some more digging on the purported touch screen changes for 2014 and the "some will get it, some won't" touchscreen on the my2013 FRS 10 Series.

I find the third paragraph to be of particular interest:
