im glad people buying this car have a certain class to them... for now anyways. Besides... tecno really drives the speakers to their limit which was what I was testing.

I know you can upgrade sound with stock HU... but i dont really like how it looks. And according to my local sound shop, If I wanted to install the Infinity kappas that i want, I would have to exchange the stock HU (I mena the one that comes stock in the standard car) for aftermarket with higher wattage output.

If I can find a set of Clarions like I have on my bimmer, I'll be happy... best speakers ever... and they where only $60/pair from crutchfield

That is absurd. I feel badly for our Canadian enthusiast friends. I guess it's little comfort, but think of the poor owners paying over $100K in some other countries posted here and won't take delivery for another year.

You must have better rate choices. There's no need to stick with dealer financing. I recall someone here who financed through this place @1.74% for 72 months. Hopefully there's something similar there.

Besides all this, there's the new elephant in the room of $755 for DPH that was included in the base price last year. It was a back door 3% price hike on top of the other two increases. Not happy until I read another review, see one in the wild or think back to my test drive and suddenly forget about everything.

So those of you who have had your FRSs held back in Japan due to the unknown quality issue, what date of production do you have your unit? Mine is 5/24, so I'm trying to figure out how deep I need to dig into this issue.

Did you guys get an estimated shipping and delivery date despite the stop sale or are you in total limbo?

Mine was produced 5/15. I had an original POE Portland delivery date of 6/04. All I have now is an estimated POE date range I don't recall except that it's near June month end. If your car shipped, it wasn't affected.

It was only one time price increase. Im sure it is. They just added the delivery cost, so it looks like it has been increased twice. Just a couple weeks more torq! Hang in there!

Torq just think you're still going to get your vehicle before many of us do, still I know how hard it can be when there are unexpected delays after you've been given a delivery date. I purchased a vehicle just prior to the tsunami in Japan and it slowed production/delivery two months, I was upset but was in no means worse than those effected over there. I hope you open a build thread or post in here as I would like to see all these parts you've got patiently waiting.

Thoughtful post that really puts things in perspective, thanks.

Well, tomorrow could be The Big Day for a few new 10 Series owners here. Can't wait to see their pics and read their impressions.

Longest. Weekend. EVER!!!

I took the day off work, and plan to head to the dealer early and bug them all day. Hopefully I will get to see it come off the truck, and be there for the TRD parts installation (just exhaust and intake box for starters).

I'll be sure to post pics and info as soon as I have it.

We only know it's coming... and that it will only be in manual... we don't even know if we may get shafted like our Canadian friends...

In the meantime... (to help keep my mind off the waiting game) I went ahead and ordered vanity plates for my car: GREYWIND

If there are any Game of Thrones fans out there... you will get the reference-- and I do feel the plates will look quite nice on my car.
