I'm getting mine replaced on Wednesday! In a loaner for a week because the dealer is an hour away so I just left it with them. I miss it already! haha.

From the first website I clicked on when I searched for "California Lemon Law"
http://oag.ca.gov/consumers/general/lemon

I agree it's not worth it, it's only a noise, but that IS an avenue for some who cannot take the chirp. Hell by the letter of the law there are many people here who could lemon this car over leaky taillights and rattles.

Thank you for the info

Not that i am trying to get rid of this car, but good lord.... I keep having to take this car in for warranty replacements every other week... (literally)
Taking it back in Monday for another fuel pump -_-

That sounds like the 2nd revision pump I had...

Somewhere on here I read that the crickets go away after 10,000 miles. Has anyone confirmed that? Is there any validity to that? I'm due for my 7500 mile service and would like to get the crickets fixed at the same time, but according to that other post, if you replace it now, it'll just come back and not go away again until the next 10,000 miles. I'm really wanting a fix to the crickets.

Incorrect. I have 16,xxx miles on my BRZ. Changed out the first pump around 14,xxx, changed second pump around 15,xxx.

10k here, mine don't bother me, but they never did. They are certainly quieter than they were form the 1k-5k mark. I'll have to report back after some "spirited" driving, although I see redline a couple times a week I haven't taken it to a track yet.

Mine went away after 8k, but it came back at 10k. I got mine replaced at 10.8k. So far, 650 miles and no chirp.

Just wanted to let everyone know, at around 16k miles, mine seem to have gone away. It actually happened after an incident where I accidentally added some 87 octane to my car (wasnt paying attention and the gas station had the order reversed from what i was used to.)

I stopped at 8 gallons and filled 93 for the rest. Flipping out, I added some NOS octane boost to the tank. The chirp was gone instantly. I slowly added 93 octane ever quarter tank until I got the nasty out. Still completely gone.

Will keep you updated but I'm very happy, especially after being one of the first to get the new pump and it not working.

I am scheduled to get the new pump tomorrow. I got a call from the parts manager Friday telling me that the parts came in. I asked him if there was a green dot next to the part number on the box. He thought that was an odd question, and wondered why I asked. I filled him in, and he verified that the box did indeed have the green dot.
I'll post with an update after I get the car back.
