They didn't check my helmet to see if it was Snell 2000+ or not, so you could get away with it, but keep in mind that if they decide to make a stink about it, you MAY be S.O.L. You can get a Skorpion EXO-400 for around $200 (I've seen closeouts at $99) if you need a Snell rated helmet, otherwise if you think you'll be doing this for awhile, spring the money for an Arai or a Shoei if your budget can take the hit ($300-$800 depending on model).

That's very nice. I'm pretty sure my head needs at least a Large if not XL... need to hit up a shop to try some on. I've been looking at [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Snell-M2010-Helmet-Medium-Matte/dp/B00A6PFD7O/"]this one on Amazon[/ame] which is somewhat similar to that. Not a bad price either at $115. If it turns out I can take a Medium though I'll definitely send you a PM.

Thanks. I'll try to get to one sometime this week. I'm a pretty big guy (6'7", 235lbs) and when I went to an indoor karting track I want to say I wore an XL helmet... but that doesn't mean I 'should' have been wearing XL, LOL

Looks like we've got enough for our own run group, assuming every one on the list makes it. We still have plenty of room for more people, the track owners will split the whole group into smaller run groups and just extend the night longer (on track til 11 possibly) so everyone has a chance to get four 20 minute sessions in.
