Helmets must be snell 2000 or newer (unlikely they'll check unless it looks super old), don't count on loaner helmets, but I'll ask the track owner.

Just a heads up for us Vegas-bound peeps, Ichitaka mentioned to the NorCal caravan whos is rolling in Thursday night that we(AZ) are doing lunch Friday noon to 3-ish. There planning on joining us now so it may be a pretty big group! Theyre good peeps so no worries(except finding a place large enough!) Getting seriously pumped about this! Yeah!

There may be a few places in Vegas that can handle groups... This is going to be epic.

We were talking about this tonight. It sounds like the plan right now is to meet up early on the east side, then roll over to 101 & I17 to meet anyone coming from the west side.

I'll let @jeffsides post any details in case I got it wrong.

Who's is the white BRZ with the the kanji? Looks crazy, didn't think it was an 86 at first...

@RedLeader @jeffsides - So to make sure I have everything straight; Musselman Honda Circuit, $60 for entry, $20 for transponder, $10 for temporary membership, Snell 2000+ Helmet, full tank of gas, decent life on tires/brakes, be there by 6... anything I'm missing? Just don't want to screw up my first track meet :P Are driving gloves recommended for this type of thing? Any other tips?

There's no $10 membership fee for the event on the 22nd.

I didn't feel like I needed driving gloves when we went last time, but that's probably going to vary from person to person.

A used wrb brz is sitting at camelback and the 17 I think it was $19k which is about right for a used one. When we bought our used one we paid $17k for one with 9k miles in Michigan.

$20 for transponder
$10 for dedicated passengers (instead of the $60 for drivers)

Snell 2000+ helmet
Full tank of gas (i went through about 1/2 tank)
A safe amount of tire/brake life left. The track is pretty easy on tires, but while you're getting used to the lines is when you'll get most of the wear.
You may want to bring a set of driving gloves. I only felt they were needed my last session as the wheel started to feel crumbly.
Show up no later than 6 so you don't miss the drivers meeting.

How about ece certifications?

They didn't check my helmet to see if it was Snell 2000+ or not, so you could get away with it, but keep in mind that if they decide to make a stink about it, you MAY be S.O.L. You can get a Skorpion EXO-400 for around $200 (I've seen closeouts at $99) if you need a Snell rated helmet, otherwise if you think you'll be doing this for awhile, spring the money for an Arai or a Shoei if your budget can take the hit ($300-$800 depending on model).

If you're still getting "mention" tags, Its because you haven't confirmed whether or not you're still going to make it.

If we get over 10 cars, we'll have an entire FRS/BRZ run group, so we'd all be on and off the track at the same times, making it easier to talk between sessions and compare driving notes.
