Mine was on the road in April 2013 - 2,700km now - only that high because of one long trip to Carlisle PA and back lol

so what is the verdict on the cruise for tomorrow? is everyone still planning on making it even though the weather is going to be bad?

Hi Ottawa! Had my blue,at, frs for 2 months now and loving it. I wanted to share a few great tips to you all. After break in and an oil change I started using Lucas fuel treatment. I have been quite impressed with the overall mileage gains. Before Lucas I was averaging 6.8 - 7.5 litre per 100km. Mostly 416 driving with maybe 20% city driving. Now I'm getting 6.0 - 6.8 liter per 100km. Which is a very good increase. Yeah I drive like a granny on the straights but do carve corners hard. So save some fuel and try it. I'm sold....

Also be aware of excess foot on throttle pressure in sixth gear cruising. I'm amazed how much better mileage can be if you find the throttles sweet spot. This being the spot, just before any loss of momentum. I use the computer and Speedo to help my foot find the best throttle position for a given speed. This has saved me gas.

Anyway I better get back to work. So looking forward to meeting you local frsbrzers...

Yeah, good point about the sweet spot. The usual rule of thumb is the lowest rpm in the highest gear without lugging, but I find that for this car the "sweet spot" for me is just under 3000rpm.

I can be in 6th and at 2500 on a country road, and I find I get better mileage going down to 5th.

Welcome!

What body kit?
Are you coming out to the cruise tomorrow? See the post further up this page for more info... I think it is going on rain or shine at this point.

I will be there regardless. With the air pressure rising currently, the rain is hopefully going to end some time tonight and we'll be good to go. The last time i checked it's dry in the car. LOL On another note my Ark is almost finished. Geezus enough with the rain already.

With the rain this week mine is filthy too - although the Opticoat seems to repel some of it
