yah it stinks that my nexus 4 doesnt show squat on the display!!

another issue for me is that sometimes it syncs other time i have to manually remove the phone from the system then reconnect it...

I think I read that Google switched the Bluetooth stack that they use and did a pretty bad job of it. If that is the case than it could just be a case of losing features just because the code is not as good anymore.

It also depends on which music player you use, i find that the Google play app tends to show more info than the stock samsung player. However the google play app will also override the display even when you aren't using it. It's pretty funky.

Yep I've noticed that too, however I'm trying out the All Access thing at the moment, so I've been using the Play app anyway. so far, so good, so Play will most probably stay as my default. Hopefully they get those Bluetooth issues fixed in a future update, though.
