Galaxy S4 Syncing (BRZ)

Hey guys, so I just got a spanking new GS4 (great phone ) however I do have a minor gripe with playing music through the BRZ's bluetooth system, and I'm wondering if it's just my particular situation or across the board. Everything syncs fine (contacts etc), and music plays and displays fine, EXCEPT the progress bar. With my old Moto Droid 3 the progress bar showed up fine, but it just doesn't with the GS4. Like I said, minor gripe, but I do get OCD about crap like that. Anyone experience this and/or know of a way to fix it?

My Galaxy Nexus doesn't sync the progress bar or song info either but my GFs iPhone does :(

I haven't tried to play music through the phone maybe I should., I mostly use a flash drive for music. Welcome to the Galaxy S4 club,

How much free space do you have on that GS4?

I have a GS4 too...progress bar only shows up for me when I'm plugged in through the USB port. Doesn't show when I'm using Bluetooth audio. Same deal with my iPhone 4 I had

In total at the moment, about 23 GB.

So you have the AT&T 32gb model...nice. Too bad 8 - 9gb is wasted by Samsung, otherwise I'd have a 16gb model and expand the memory with a 64gb card. Do you think flashing a custom ROM (Cyanogenmod) will recover that wasted space?

I have the Verizon 16gb, with my SD card that originally came with my Droid Razr Maxx. I hear flashing a ROM will do stuff like that but I really don't know since I've never tried anything like that. I'm rusty with DOS type interfaces, I haven't used anything like that in years. Outside of a few years ago when I used DOSbox to played STTNG A Final Unity which crashed quite a bit.

Samsung always, ALWAYS finds something to screw up or to willfully squander when it comes to their flagship device. If it isn't a Touchwiz spinning 3D cube, it's 8gb of bloatware, or it's a pentile display, or it's the hilariously bad marketing (Life Companion? Really?).

I think I'll wait until I can get a straight answer out of the Cyanogenmod fans (to this date, I cannot get a simple, straight answer to my question about free space on the device), or until the iPhone 6 comes out and hopefully has a 4.5" screen....or until we learn more about the Google Galaxy S4.

Samsung is not as fault for bloatware, Verizon is.

GNS u need to grab an international version of the Galaxy & see for urself. I noticed u have certain grudge against the company & I don't think ppl on this forum need to hear u vent nor does it help anyone on this forum.

I have a grudge because I want to like Samsung, but my hopes keep getting dashed each time they release a flagship device. For example, I was pretty stoked for the Galaxy S4. You know, 1080p display, new pentile arrangement, color management profiles (Movie Mode is the best), 5" screen, thin, light, removable battery, expandable memory... there isn't much to hate about it. I was set to dump my iPhone 4S for it.

Then I found out that the Samsung bloatware takes up 9gb.

I started thinking...maybe I can live with it, if I get a 32gb version. Except, there ARE no 32gb versions in Canada, and will not be from the looks of it.

It most likely will. I don't have an s4 but every other device I've run cm on is much leaner than the factory themed stuff with the possible exception to nexus devices running stock Android.

Yep I agree having just 9GB of free on board space to start with its kinda annoying, however I don't intend on installing any large apps like games or anything, and music/movies etc will go on my 32GB sd card anyway. It also sucks that Google locked out the ability to natively install apps to sd, but a little rooting can fix that.

, back to the original topic, I'll see what happens when I pay through usb. I did enjoy having the progress bar over Bluetooth though
