Ticked 27k this past Sunday, just as my engine decided it would be a great time to knock, misfire, and tick.

She's at the dealer again, third time in about a month. Hopefully they fix it this time.

This is becoming a common theme with these engines. I'm at just under 20k and I'm looking at fi kits but getting worried about the integrity of the motor. I might just do a full rebuild pretty soon and stiffen up all the internals with a little more heavy
duty injectors both port and di. I also have access to the machines and tools needed to do this so not nearly as big of a task for me as someone in their garage.

most of our engine problems are electrical and there are tsb and recalls that fix them and most of the ones you are hearing are early production run. some reason the first 1500 show almost no engine problems what so ever but cars bought between july and october have the majority of the problems.
