The Si had issues worse than the BRZ. So I decided to stop chasing perfection and go back to the BRZ. I won't get more into it than that, and I'd appreciate if you guys didn't give me a hard time, its just a journey I had to go on, but I'll be back in the club soon. Not very long at all. It's amazing what massive amounts of overtime can accomplish while your single with no kids.
Talk about coming full circle

Hey OP, it is your money. I traded in a 14 month old 2013 Genesis Coupe that I was perfectly happy with for the BRZ Limited so I can totally relate.

My only advice at this point is don't take any other cars for a test drive

I know right? Test drives are fun but sometimes counter productive to happiness. This whole thing started with a Focus ST test drive too.

This forum will not be out-done by a Honda forum. You're an ass! GTFO! Your mama! etc etc etc.

Yeah... I told him off good.

A forum with majority of members that in their 20s or even younger are bound to have "mean" people. How else do they make themselves feel important. But it's the best entertainment when you're bored.

I could probably start a whole new thread of "mean" comments by saying I miss the 2013 civics torque.

I never thought I would see the day that someone says they miss the torque they had in their civic...

It was worth the extra hit trading the BRZ in for me. I was willing to try the BRZ, that's more than most Honda fanboys can say. It was fun while it lasted but the buyers remorse was too strong. I'm like K-Pride and G-Man, buy a car you like and enjoy!! Nothing is worse than hating on your car for whatever reason and paying a note on it at the same time.

I think my new 2013 Si Sedan is better than my old 2006 Si Coupe was, as the new one has more low end torque and a better interior. Which in turn was better than my 2004 Si Hatch was, it had a shifter that was too high, low HP, and was an off year in overall design like the 2012 year was (the 2013 is much improved). But man I miss that hatch utility. You could move your whole life sans furniture in that thing. I really wanted to like the Focus ST, but I didn't. As to why I gave up all utility for a BRZ, well it wouldn't be the first time I fooled myself with hype to justify a purchase!!

I had an 03 si. The 04/05 taillights sucked and the headlights never grew on me. I never faced something that I couldn't fit in that car lol.

A very outdated post of mine you quoted, much has changed since. I discovered I missed that little RWD slide hop around corners, I have come to loath the Si suspension and uncomfortable seats, and I found that utility doesn't put a smile on your face, a perfect Honda shifter is only so important, and a nice K series engine isn't everything (ESP without headers). The worst part is the Si's steering is far too squirrelly on the highway - I find it to be dangerous to change a radio station even.

In a few years, FR-S/BNZ will be everywhere too. I already see 10+ a day during my commute...
I don't think the FR-S & BRZ will ever come CLOSE to the production numbers that the Civic Si puts out IMO.

Time will tell. The Civic Si production numbers aren't all that high. ~300k civics a year, ~15k will be Si models...

I'm already seeing an 86 about as often as I see a Civic Si.

You get different looks driving an FR-S vs. a Si.
