Does the stock overpipe restrict a lot of air flow?

What I want to know is, is it bad to mix all the different pipes? I.e. Borla UEL headers, Nameless over pipe, perrin front pipe, perrin exhaust. Because I want to buy a matching set, but not many places sell are the parts in one package, so it would be possible to mix it all up. Sorry about the noob question, I haven't done anything with cars before, but the FR-S almost demands it.

I posted a picture of the stock one compared to the Motiv in their thread in the commercial classifieds. It is a noticably different piece and while you won't see huge gains with just that piece it is part of the bigger picture of getting more air in and out of the engine.

It would make no difference as long as they bolt up nicely, which they should, since they were all designed with connecting to factory parts in mind.

They should but they don't always, I have seen some parts with different sized flanges and bolt holes for this car.

Cool. Though that means my choices have a lot more variations now since I might be able to mix and match parts haha

If this is true, then it would probably be best to let a shop help me decide so I know it gets done right.

My vote is the Motiv overpipe or the new MXP header/overpipe combo coming out very soon.

Nice looking welds. Design looks familiar, but there are only so many ways to run these things with the space confinement.

Definitely nothing revolutionary going on, but a solid product no doubt. Plus OP already has the other two MXP exhaust components. He might as well finish it off. Although that Motiv overpipe sure is nice too...

MXP should pay for their domain, it has just expired on Jun 1. Then at least we could see what they have and perhaps, if they do updates, what's coming soon.
