Off topic, but no u cant, i build pcs. And assuming u mean legit pc, windows alone will cost u 100$, so 500$ for a mobo/cpu/vga/ram/hdd(ssd)/psu/case/cooling/bluray drive/and mouse/keyboard or controller (in respect to "matching" the 600$ console, not even including the kinect sensor...)

and pc specs do not equal console specs (for example a console having 8gb ram is not the same as a pc having 8gb ram)

$600 will cost the video card if you truly want high resolution with maxed out graphic settings on any new upcoming games...

My ATI 7950 was $380, my CPU was 300, my motherboard was 150, ram was 70, PSU was $100... so that's $1000, not including case, hdd, monitor, kb/mice...

You need to visit Newegg, Amazon, and Microcenter

I use tiger direct since my local Compusa can order my parts and have them shipped for free to my house.

My PC is 6 months old, BTW

Newegg currently lists the 7950 for 280-330$... The rest of his prices cant be compared as "theyd be cheaper on newegg" since u dont know what the specs were. Sounds to me like he did good for 1000$

Since you're a fellow PC builder (Don't know if you're and overclocker though)

My PC specs:

"Delidded" i7 3770K (Currently at 4.7ghz with an h100 since the resercoir on my water cooling loop started leaking)
Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H
ATi 7950, also have a GTX670, but it sucks at bitcoin mining.
8GB Patriot Intel Extreme 2133mhz
1KW OCZ Fatal1ty PSU
256GB OCZ Agility 4 SSD
Hitachi 1TB HDD (Programs and music)
Hitachi 750GB hdd (Backup)
Cooler Master HAF-930

Havent upgraded my personal pc in years other than adding a ssd a while ago. Been busy with other things more. Last game i played on it was bf3 and it ran a pretty good on mid/hi specs, not bad for 6+ yr old tech huh?

AMD 6400 black (mildly overclocked to 3.6)
Dual 8800gtx
8gb ddr2 ram
850watt psu
128gb ssd
6tb of regular hdds
Watercooled cpu and vgas
Thermaltake armor case

Again, i built this in 06/07 when the gtx was brand new at 800$ each :/

[ame]http://youtu.be/vnYpzTwAF-s[/ame]

Did a little custom work on the case since 06, but same hardware for 85% of it

Not bad at all... I had a 8800GTX back in the day... killed it by volt modding it ... EVGA replaced it and sent me a 550Ti as a replacement

Used to have an Armor case myself... twas a bitch for wire management

It now lives in my cousins PC, which was my old i7 950 desktop.

This was my old Core 2 Quad setup in the Armor case (messy messy messy)

Latest pic of my setup (with the 670 and 470 for folding @ home)

Will take a more resent pic once I get my Reservoir back from RMA.
