Then when I removed it my engine sounded louder which confirmed that I must be making more power. I think I even felt it, although I also feel the effects of sugar pills but that's another topic... Are you sure that the cold air snorkel should remain intact?

All good bro, I ended up getting a Maxracing Duct instead of making something.

And for the record I have been driving it in all sorts of weather from hot and dry to torrential rains and there is no evidence of water getting into my air box but my filter was a little more dusty than i would have expected.
