They're black, because they've been stripped for refinishing and that's the color of the hard anodize coating.

But yes, I do have a set of Brembos I can sell you. Thanks, Tut!

Why is there no NASIOC sponsor or FT86club sponsor that specializes in refinishing the Brembo calipers? I would like mine to have a fresh coat and new STI decals, but I find I suck at those kind of projects.

Import Image will PC them for you, otherwise it's about asking the right folks. There's a few good guides on how to rattle can them, but my patience with paint is nil.

I have a local guy that can do it for you if you want to pay for shipping. I've had him coat different things from wheels to turbos to various small pieces and exhaust piping.

He can clean it up, stirp it and recoat it. Let me see if I can find a link to his work:

It's plati dip. Black base, bronze and finished with a clear coat. I'd say some type of dark bronze.

A few considerations when going 18:

Higher tire price. Higher weight. Also, if you get a 18x9 wheel you'll be slightly stretching a 245, making the total diameter a bit less, but probably not a substantial amount. Also, your tire choices will be less. 17s have more choices. Since I know you're not planning to drop the car too low, you'd probably want a tire that looks a bit beefier. A 18x8 will hold a 245 just fine and look a bit more squared off where the sidewall meets the tread.

So what tire do you recommend (wheels will be 18X9), and want to keep OEM diameter as close as possible?

Lowering will be between 1-1.5" (Tire Brand recommendation more than welcomed). You know I HATE the stretched tire look.

245mm is about 9.6 inches. A 235 AD08 will not stretch on 9 inch wheels let alone a 245 so not all 245s are the same, just make sure you get sticky tyres up to spec with tread/section width.
