Not sure what you're going at - there are scientific studies showing that DRLs improve safety, especially at higher latitudes, especially in the winter.
But hey, I guess I'm probably just arguing with a bunch of 17 year olds who don't need no stinkin' safety equipment, they've got mad tyte JDM drift skillz to keep them safe.

A lot of them probably didn't. Enhanced visibility on the road has saved a lot of lives. Ask any dead motorcyclist- oh, that's right, you can't.

First thing I thought was "this guy has to be one of those tribal tattoo bros", wasn't surprised when I saw the sweet mods on that eclipse.

The moment you sit on a bike you already dropped your chance of surviving an accident by a tenfold, I like bikes and all but I would never ride in one of those deathtraps.

Hey, NHTSA, remember that scientific study you did where you compared huge amounts of data? Yeah, that was wrong. We found some guy over here who didn't get in an accident without DRLs.

"Federal researchers, using data collected nationwide from 1995 to 2001, concluded that there was a 5 percent decline in daytime, two-vehicle, opposite-direction crashes and a 12 percent decline in fatal crashes with pedestrians and bicyclists. However, a 2008 federal study concluded that DRLs have no significant effect on either of these crash types." http://www.iihs.org/research/qanda/drl.aspx |
