Garage
I just put my amp under the floor where the tock amp normally goes (no stock amp on the Aus spec). Works great, and haven't had cooling issues, even with an Australian summer.

damn it, got all my parts in ready to install, and now my stock headunit (avic 9310bt) is askign for a password that i dont know....car was a demo driven by a regional manager, so he mustve entered the code. my dealership is trying to get in touch with him to see if he knows what he entered, otherwise they gotta ship the bloody thing to pioneer for them to enter the master code

so pissed, wanted to install this weekend

wasnt any of the usual default ones. pioneer says it was set by a person if the faceplate was ever removed since it prompts to create it...and since it was driven by someone before me, they likely set out. total fail, the dealership better provide me with a good solution aside from continuously telling me to call pioneer which i already did

try to get the contact info for the previous owner from the dealer or the DMV or get a carfax and see if the previous drivers name is on it and look him up and call him up!

sick, it worked! note you need to use a PC and not mac for the transfer of files to micro sd

also note, im absolutely the dumbest f in the world cuz when it showed the password.....i was so convinced i never set the password seeing how i barely got the car 2 months ago and would have remembered, anyhow it was a pswd i use for unsecure/unimportant things for over 10 years. FML

despit my dumbness, thanks again for all the help guys. and hopefully this will help ppl in future who really lose their pswd!

now to get back to install, i will be going down accross the border next weekend to get everything and installl....cant do this weekend since im still waiting on enclosure to be delivered :/ cant wait to post the results!

cheers!

I got bored waiting so I ran all the wires last night. Was gonna do door speakers but realized I needed spacers. All I will say is how nice and easy it is to remove panels in this car!

Do you guys think the alpine amp will be ok if I install in the stock amp location under trunk floor or does it risk overheating?

It should be fine as long as it isn't clipping!

Awesome. I'm considering doing my own install, so as many pics as you can get will be greatly appreciated.

Also, what did you guys do up front? I think I'm just gonna do front speakers and go quality and skip the back.
