In need of advice (full setup)
I've always enjoyed high quality audio (at reasonable prices) since I was young. Now I'm the kind of guy who listens to my sound system more than my exhaust note.
My car will be arriving around the end of august which is perfect cause then comes the day of gift giving (my birthday) on the 7th of September. Now my family is notorious for giving each other nice gifts (I bought my dad a 750$ office printer because he needed it). The problem I have is I know I like high quality audio but I don't know what to look for the brz in replacing speakers/amp. I'm looking to replace the stock speakers and amp but I'm not worried about adding a sub atm. I listen to a wide variety of music rock/trance/hardstyle/classic/pop. |

Theres like no trunk space for a sub. So im hopping your not planing on getting like 10"-12" sub unless your never gunna use your back seats. haha
But ya im also look for new speakers. |

Not really looking to put in a sub yet just to replace the stock amp and stock speakers. If anyone has any recommendations on brands I'm all ears.

I am in the same boat.. just depends on how much you want to spend. You can spend almost a grand on just speakers alone if you go with a pair like hybrid ovation ii 6. Or you can spend between $100 and $250 on a set of speakers like Focal, RE Audio, or Image Dynamics. I am leaning towards one of those three just because I dont have the money to spend on the Ovatrion.. although Im sure they sound amazing.
the Alpine PDX-5 I hear is an amazing amp.. good power and top notch sound quality. |

So far not hating on my PDX-V9, still no sub GRRRRRR!
The Vibe three way I got is ok, but I don't recommend them to anyone. Grab the cheaper Focal's or something. The Vibe sounds good, but the build quality is crap.

Middle of the road system I would suggest would be:
Hertz HDP5 amp. Small amp, sounds amazing, and has sub output. Hertz Energy 3ways Hertz Energy 8" subs - 2 I'd charge $1700ish just for the equipment. The step up speakers (Hi-energy) would be $350 more but are way better and the Energy line sounds great. |
