Haha, I think she'd notice the bank account before it even shipped.

What I find funny is you guys complaining about the price per $$...honda guys buy carbon fiber mugen intakes that reuses the stock intake arm...so just a CF airbox (which makes more power mind you being its smooth inside like this...and its $900. Be happy its so cheap in comparison and available at all...not a cone filter (flat is better) and gets rid of the resonator and cleans up the bay a little.

TRD CAI

However, you wrote” slightly lower fuel economy”
Which one is correct?
Thanks.
I've experienced slightly lower fuel economy initially with the TRD CAI. The only reasonable thing is to drive it for a couple of 1000 miles and recalculate fuel usage/mile; averaging out the driving conditions to some mixture of highway and stop/go that approaches what is normal for your useage. I still haven't gotten over the fact that this car responds so well with the "hammer down". I should drive it for a while in an "ultra-milage" mode to see how good the numbers could be; but that isn't why we bought this car, is it?

I did the same. Dead pedal goes away for a few miles but comes back. Response is slightly better, but not 100% there.

Could you describe clear what you mean” Dead pedal goes away for a few miles but comes back”?
Thanks a lot.

I only experienced that when I flash to a new tune or unplugged the battery. So far my TRD intake has been doing good. No issues with it at all. I always let my car idle for 10 minutes (and never touch the pedal) any time I reflash or reconnect the battery.

It's funny that people do this. What you should do is make sure the car/cat is warm 1st and then turn off the car and do the reset/reflash. It takes circa 30-40 seconds to bring the cams in (you can hear it) and after that, you're good to go.

The dead pedal isn't also a quirk of a reflash/reset there is a way to stop it from happening I posted how here.

I've heard similar, but has it been proven yet?
