Well a little disappointed but took the car to the dyno.

I thought you had put higher numbers on a different dyno?

I had to leave early, was supposed to be at work when I stopped by this morning. Wanted to personally see the dyno pull. What number range were you expecting ?

I did 180whp on a dynojet. I was expecting somewhere around there. I was just disappointed because there was a bone stock BRZ there that put down 156-159whp.

Here was the bone stock plot:

It seems weird that my torque number would be lower. The only change I did was lower the car about 1.2"

Not an expert but could lowering have an effect on tension? If tension on the hub is changed then the force factor pushing down on the wheel will have an effect on it spinning. This is where either lighter wheels come in or the height needs to go up by about half an inch.

It might have, I know my buddy who runs stock cars said they play with that to get a certain reading.

I'll be ordering my tires either tomorrow or the next day and get them mounted and put on.

After having the R2s for a couple days my takeaways:
- Turn in is much better
- Seems a little bouncy on the streets around here (even with little compression/rebound)
- The car just goes, tires are showing the weakest link - they break traction much easier

I rigged up the reservoirs, wrapping them in some padding and zip tying them to the strut tower. I might try and build a custom bracket to have them clean under the engine bay, until then this works for now.

Update -

So I got my Dunlop Direzza D2s in. I had NTB try and put them on but they had an ancient machine and were afraid they'd mess up my rim. They were having an issue getting it on. So I have an appointment at Merchants tomorrow morning.

I also fixed the noise from the coilovers. I tightened the top nut. The driver's side front and passenger's side rear were a little loose. I also raised the car about 2 threads to add more pre-load.

The car is sitting just a little bit higher, but no more clanking from the front:

It's hard for the butt dyno to work properly with the added noise, so I'm not sure if the car is quicker. The nice thing is if you're soft on the accelerator or cruising it still sounds stock. I'll leave it on for a couple of days and see if I want to keep it. I need to figure out if I'll keep it on for the dyno next saturday or not.
did it rasp with just uncatted front pipes or with uncatted front pipes and the muffler delete?

I never put the muffler delete on, it was with just the uncatted front pipe. I think it's due not only to the removal of the cat but also the OEM front pipe has a resonator on it.

Update:

So after NTB couldn't mount them Merchant's tried and apperently my wheel broke their machine. So I loaded up the rims and tires (yes 4 fit!) and went to Tires Plus. They mounted them no problem but my car was too low for their lift. I took them home and installed them myself this morning. I was out at Shenandoah Raceway all day yesterday helping a friend run late models. I unfortunately had to raise the car in the rear just a little bit more to play it safe. The car is probably back to about stock height but the wheel gap is gone.

The car has great turn in and excellent grip. I only took it for a quick spin so it will take a little time to get use to. The staggered fitment changes the dynamics of the car a little bit, but wow it's fun.

I plan to have the car aligned the middle of the week and run a little negative camber up front.

OEM vs my rear:
