Let me see if I understand correctly, an FRS released 2012/06 is MY13?

100% right.
us south Africans/Namibians got the 86 twins VERY late (with the BRZ only being available since Feb, I believe), so it's a bit whack to us, but it's actually quite normal for new cars.

Every single owner who owns/drives one of the twins currently owns a 2013.

They were sold as '12 overseas because they're not stupid about trying to sell a "newer" car.

But yes, every American (Canada included) has a '13

Behavior has resolved most of my issues and good old fashioned maintaining fixed the rest except my cricket companions. Even with all this, I still smile every time I get in the car and I cannot wait to get back on the road when away from her.

I have not gone as far as I had hoped with my driver education, only one trip to the track and few hooning adventures. But that is on me and my budget. I am still stock but have continued to consider exhaust, wheel and other upgrades. A plan for my mods is coming together thanks to the experiences of my fellow owners and I have started making friendships with many others in the Dallas area. To think that a car could affect my life as much as it has is the biggest surprise.

To those still on the fence or waiting for something to happen before getting one of these beauties, do not lose faith. The wait will be worth it. To those who did not find what they were seeking and have moved on, I am sad for you. I have never driven a car that can do what this one can and I know I am a better driver for it. To those who are just starting their adventure with one of these twins, I hope to see you on the road someday!

Tomorrow I start year 2 and if it is at all like year 1, I simply cannot wait!
Grats on the first year! How many miles did you put on her?

I'm just shy of 11k myself, my first year doesn't officially end until July.

When I drove it off the lot, I had a huge grin on my face and no experience driving stick (only practiced for an hour to understand the mechanics of it... probably should have practiced more). Now that I've had nearly a year of getting to know my car and understanding it, I can honestly say I grin even harder now, than when I drove it off the lot .

To Ocala FR-S. I have to ask how you are liking the AT.... I am torn. I have driven MT and feel completely competent in shifting etc but never has my daily driver been a MT.

Any words of wisdom that you all could offer would be of help. I am in the market for one of the twins, hopefully a series 10 scion.

My first year with my baby has been great, up until a couple of months. Lets just say highway debris has taken it's toll on her have to do some cosmetic surgery on her already. Minor but still very painful.

Am I the only one who thinks their Prime starts at 30? Schools out, your getting paid, you have established credit and if your a healthy chap your in your physical prime.

Good call on the car though!
