When you install the Vortech intercooler it must sit in the center support bracket and bolted to the bumper support. You don't have any room to move the intercooler forward and away from the condensor. In the case of the Koyo, as it is thicker, the inter cooler barely clears the condenser line fitting bolt. Anything thicker and the intercooler will rub on that bolt and line.
