Just a damp clean cotton cloth.
If extra cleaning properties are needed just a clean cotton cloth dampened with a very light solution of dish detergent (a few drops per 16 ounces of water). Last edited by BRZfan; 05-20-2013 at 01:05 PM. |

I have mothers vinyl cleaner. Would that work out? I was wondering if a micro cloth would help wiping it down..

Sounds like you are describing a 'vinyl protectant'. I cannot believe that a dealer would apply this on an unsold new car. Did you buy the car from a dealer and as new? If so, who was the dealer?

I wasn't too surprised about it. A lot of detailers like to make everything in the interior super shiny...although they did go overboard when they slathered the steering wheel with it. It's not a big deal, it didn't hurt the car or anything...I just wiped it off. FWIW I've been back there a few times and their other showroom cars (new and used) are "au natural" inside. So my car was probably just a weird fluke. |

303 isn't high gloss, which is why I like it for the dash, plus it has an spf in it, ie "sunscreen for your stuff".

303 is only a protectant. do they make a cleaner too? That would be 2 steps. I've always used meguire's quick interior detailer which can be used on rubber, vinyl, plastic, leather and is a cleaner + protectant.

I just used a damp terry cloth to wipe the dash down last night. Worked wonderfully

I use 303 Aerospace, its great stuff. You can buy it at West Marine as well if you have one near you and don't want to order online.

I'm with the damp microfiber crowd. I may, however, try this Aerospace product that I have been hearing so much about. Whatever you use, be careful of products that suck the moisture out of the material leading to fading, cracking, etc.

I just bought the Meguire's protectant and used it for the first time. Way better than armor all or F21. It doesn't seem oily at all. I've never used 303, but I like the Meguire's. It's probably easier to find at auto parts stores also.
