Just leave it, it'll connect by itself even if it's not showing connected under BT settings. You also need to choose the OBD adapter in Torque.

Ya I noticed it doesn't show as connected in the BT section. But it still doesn't want to reconnect when I hop back in the car? Torque just doesn't see it.
@sav did you manually add yours or did you "search for device"?

How did you calculate oil tem?

Searched then entered the passcode and hit save.

There is a thread for custom PID's somewhere on the forum. Don't have the link unfortunately.

Fitment Centres

Hi guys

I'm finally getting around to upgrading the head unit in my car. Does anyone know of a good reliable fitment centre that will do a good job / not damage anything ( preferably in the Midrand / Sandton area ) ?

Thanks

To be honest, I don't rust anybody else anymore. I had my Kenwood fitted by the "professionals" and after removing it I could see that I could have done a much better job myself.

It is very easy to install a new head unit in this car. Just pull off the passenger trim piece first, then the trim piece around the HU, remove the four 10mm bolts and disconnect cables. That's it.

To make things look right, you'd need the side trim pieces (~$10) to fill in the gaps to the sides of a standard aftermarket HU. To make life easier and so you don't have to cut into factory cables, buy the wire harness ($7.50) and antenna adapter (~$5).

Good advice.

There is a GT86 specific trim plate from Connects2 now - looks much neater than the generic side plates.

I'll be installing it a bit later.

We don't have steering controls so it wouldn't bother me.

Put sound deadening material on your boot lid like Dynamat.
If you want something cheaper then go to Pro Auto Rubber in Montague gardens and get the sheets of tar. You heat it up with a heat gut and it will mould against any shape.

How did u connect your subs to the std deck? does the deck have outputs for subs?
or are you running an amp from the deck and the subs to the amp.
