any Bongiovi audio upgrade reviewers?
Hey Everyone,
Looking for some feedback, wondering if anyone got the Bongiovi audio upgrade (DPS Acoustics upgrade)? Having mixed feeling on committing to the upgrade and looking for some review's from current owners, I mean when the guy who manufactures the product is actually related to Bon Jovi (So he says...) kinda throws me off.... ![]() http://www.scion.ca/scion/en/accessories/featured

I purchased the head unit upgrade and the bonjovi upgrade. I recently received my vehicle and so I do not have extensive use of the audio equipment but I have played with all of the sound setting to make it sound as good as I possibly can, and I can't say that I am overly impressed. I had a celica gts with an alpine DVD player and that sounded much better then this; I'm not sure how the audio systems (amps and speakers) compare between the two vehicles though. I believe that my celica had more speakers and I know it had a factory amp under the passenger seat. If I had to do it again, I would take this car with the standard radio and upgrade it with an aftermarket system. A salesperson at toyota said that the bonjovi system was far better then the standard, and maybe it is, but it's still not great in my opinion. Again the limits of the sound quality may be the number and quality of speakers but I am not sure. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. That does kinda suck, i was hoping for atleast above average for the quality. I was orginally going to go out and buy and install everthing myself but the last time that happened I upgraded the deck, speakers, panelling and anything else that came off in the interior lol

Hopefully there is a meet in your area and you can hear it for yourself. It might be somewhat above average, but for the price it didn't seem worth it in my opinion. You might want to try upgrading your head unit only, you might get better sound and gps at the same time.
