Looking to buy an iPhone dock for FRS

Sup all,

Cutting to the chase, I'm planning to use my iPhone 4s as a music source as well as a navigation unit and I was wondering anybody has any recommendation for one? (and where I can find one if I live in Canada, sometimes online shops such as Amazon don't ship to Canada).

Not sure about shipping to Canada. But checkout imagnet iPhone holder.
Simply the best...no messing with crappy clamp style holders.

I mounted mine on the drivers side "little triangle" window and ran a long iPhone charging cord under the ebrake boot and steering column so it comes out at the side of the drivers dash next to the mount.

i'm sure you can find a place that can ship to you.

Thanks! Ill definitely look that up. I guess I need to buy the long cable charger separately? If the cable can be routed without being too noticeable and it doesnt get in the way of anything, sounds like a good solution.

That being said, I am open for more suggestion so please do share

Will that mess up the phone service?

Ok... this is a quick, down and dirty DIY:

Purchase a 6-10ft BLACK iphone charger cable- Think mine was a 10ft cable that came from Cable Jive

Mine is plugged into a iphone cig charger next to the cup holders in the center.

1. From the bottom, slightly lift up on the plastic surrounding the ebrake boot until it pops up so you can run the cord under the plastic piece (picture 1) and then run it all along the base until you get near the gas petal (picture 2 - look in the upper left corner of the picture to see where the wire comes out)

2 Then open the driver door and pulling from the bottom of the panel, pop open the side dash panel. (picture 3)

3. Run the wire from the bottom floor board under the steering column and route it over to the open panel area and then have the wire come out at the top next to the C-pillar. (Picture 4)

4. Pop the panel back in place and mount your imagnet holder in the "little triangle" window and you are done! (Picture 5)

Not at all. Little metal circle sits inside you iphone case and zero interference issues. I use Bluetooth, NAV etc works great and best of all it is easy to pull on and off.

I use the pro clip w/ swiveling iPhone holder, sits right about where the photo above my post has its iPhone holder. And the bottom is open so I use the USB to plug into it. I use my iPhone for road trips an having the GPS so viable is nice.

Also check out the RAM Mount if you are looking for a mount, instead of a dock:
http://www.rammount.com/Products/Cel...2/Default.aspx

They have gotten really good reviews on Amazon and two of my friends recommended them to me.

iOttie Easy Flex2 for $17 at Amazon, takes 30 seconds to install. Has a super grippy suction cup that allows it to stick to textured surfaces. No problems for the last 6 months. Bought one for every car in the fleet.
