WTF, if Toyota wasn't going for this sussy tuning, they might as well scrap the small FR sports car idea right at the begining and stick to FF cars.

If you are going to drive fast with traction control OFF and you crash its your dam fault.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy that such a car exists. But I do know that nothing will kill this car faster than a big lawsuit. Do they need to make it completely numb and only capable of understeer? I'm not going to go that far.

Not that i want Big Brother watching, but I hope the ECU will record the stability control's system state at the time of airbag deployment so the finger can be pointed in the right direction.

Yes, the stability control should be recorded, even before the accident.

Even IF someone was stupid enough to sue Toyota, all they have to do is look at the "block box" records before the crash which will blatantly scream IDIOT DRIVER TURNED OFF TRACTION CONTROL, the judge will then ask WHY they turned it off, and they will lose the case.

Worst case is they make it harder to turn off traction control.

I was going to write hella long post... But I gonna sum it up by quote from Tada-san

"You control the car & not car control you."

If some moron take off traction control on the street to be next Drift King & ram into the wall, only thing I gonna do is point a finger at the person & laugh at em.

Let me just say, this car is no more unsafe than a motorcycle. And I own an R6, which costs half the cost of this car does at full MSRP.

The same thing applies. My R6 is only as safe as I drive it. You don't see people suing Yamaha for making a sports bike, right?

Wait, wha-- what were we---oh yeah...

If a bunch of kids crash their FRS' then all the chumps complaining about the BRZ front end can pick up a junk front and make their BRZ nice! And we can stock up on the 86Boxer badges!

Thanks! I love her. She's the reason I don't need a "fast" car... 0-60 in 3

I know super bike restrictions vary country by country. In some countries, you can't ride an R6 until you've had something like 10 years of riding experience.

True. Bikes are rear wheel drive with no traction( most of them). I don't have any problem with my sportbikes, dirt bikes, naked bikes I had owned.

To OP, If you understand the characteristic of your vehicle and how it would response to your steering and throttle, you don't have any problem. Like some fellow members here said, if you don't know how to drive a RWD car with TCS off, leave it on or go buy a FWD.

Yes I have to somewhat agree to the op post. Fatoni brings up a good point I'm sure you won't point and laugh if the frs ends up sliding into a padestrian or into another car killing the driver much worst killing another person or people in the process. The actions of one inexperience driver who turned of tcs to play tofu delivery boy. Will effect us cops will be harsher to us, insurance, meets can become harder. I know because I had a close friend a club member of the car forum I belong to get cut off by a 350 z trying to drift on the street the 350 s action made the members car go uP in the air landing on a Camry killing a girl who recently graduated college. Sadly I knew the driver who got cut off and the girl that died.

After the incident cop wouldn't allow our cars and enthusiast who live around the area meet any more. It effected the whole car community since our area for the last six year was the meeting spot. This gradually died out from there.

The actions of one person got everyone involved. So leave tcs on if your new to rwd, and don't take the setting lightly. The op has a good point, partially anyways .
