Long time lurker, brand new owner

Apologies for the low quality iPhone pics...

Hello All! My name is Erwin member since 1/28/10 from California. I've been lurking on this forum for a while now tryng to absorb what I can from everyone. I drive a 1985 Corolla GTS daily. I just purchased my Whiteout MT FRS on 5/9/13 she currently has 118 miles and so far I am having a blast! She's still a long way from being pushed a little harder but the smile on my face gets wider the more I drive her! Looking forward to meet a lot of 86 enthusiast in the future.

A picture of me checking out a whiteout frs. This particular one was an A/T

after a fun test drive I placed a deposit for a M/T. I couldn't have asked for a perfect california temperature for a test drive

After waiting a little over 2 weeks I received a phone call from longo that she's finally on the lot.

7 hours later driving here and there and completing some paper work it was a done deal and keys were handed over

The weather started out great blue sky and white clouds but by the time my family and I arrived at longo it had started to rain. This is the last photo taken before she left Longo's lot

Picture taken the next morning after her first wash

My daily driver for over 10 years. She's been very good to me now she's going to get some very well deserved rest

Thanks. I plan to enjoy her stock for a while. I do have a 5AD rear spoiler on order. I will post pic once it arrives.

Thanks! I was set on the firestorm and my wife liked the hot lava. But when we both saw the whiteout we fell in love.

I thought I wanted hot lava as well but I surprised myself by liking whiteout so much. Just got mine in Monday. And don't blame you for keeping the GTS.

If it weren't for Ultramarine, I would have gotten the white. Looks fantastic! Congrats!

Wow, Mad props to you for being able to be interested in something for 3 years and not jump the gun on your purchase,. I got my first look at the FR-S, not even a week later I was saying goodbye to my Tc, and driving out the lot in my FR-S haha. Maybe If i would have done what you did, I would have been able to get my hands on an FR-S without so many engine/electronic problem/malfunctions. I hope you don't go through the same problems that me and probably a 1,000 other owners are going through

Congrats to you! Yeah my son said that it will be his car once he starts driving, he's 9 years old mind you.

Being a brand new car I expected that there would be some issues to straighten out. This is one of the reason why I held back. Learning from a lot of members here also helped.

Thanks! Yup I picked her up that thursday night in the rain. Needless to say it was a slow drive home.
