Yep. The FR-S has stiffer 3.8k rear spring rates, compared with 3.3k rates on the GT86.

I actually like the way the FR-S rotates when I'm autocrossing. Not sure it's the fastest way around the cones, but it's definitely fun haha

I put 215 Direzza's all around on first. Then I put 225's on the back for a better look with the wider tire. The FRS actually handled better with with the 215 all around. But the car looks so much better with the wider tire in the rear. I just couldn't live with the look of the 215's in the back. Going real wide with the stock power level is going to make the car slower IMO. Direzza's rule! Using them on my cars since they came out.

The table of OEM spring rates WoW has up in that linked thread is NOT correct. There is another thread elsewhere in which this is discussed at length. I had been working from this table myself, but it has been confirmed in that other thread that the 86/GT86/FR-S all have identical spring rates both F and R. WoW was going to fix his own table, but it looks like he never did.

I've got to admit I'm a bit skeptical that from a distance you can tell a difference in the look of your car with 225's in the back. We're talking about a 10 mm difference here, lol. No freaking way man.

Don't notice a difference in appearance going from a 215/45/17 RE050 on the front of the s2k to a 225/45/17 Star Spec? Looks a lot meatier up front.

I believe it depends on course layout and driving style of the drivers ( some like trowing the cars a little more than others and if that's the case )

And you can read the same thing here - it's up to the driver and driving style but both cars are great

I Installed the Koni Yellows and running 3/4 stiff in the front and half soft in the rear. A BR-Z with complete stock suspension beat me by .7 secs but I think it was more me than the car. I know I could have easily beaten his time but a couple mistakes adds up quick on the final times :/

Best way to compare is if you had the same driver in both cars. Other that that I do not think the setup is making you slower.

For me it took some adjustment to the size of the car and i kept running wide especially in the slaloms (bad habit from the old car).

How do you like the Koni's. I was looking at those but still doing my research I'll be happy to get some feedback from you.
