I am pretty sure that this has been discussed before. It should not be removed. If you look at many vehicles you will find these stickers that are designed to protect against abrasion. The areas protected tend to more specifically vulnerable to wind born debris which could simply be sand etc. They are usually transition points that if left uncovered would eventually have the paint damaged. If they to protect against abrasion getting in&out, they would be in very different locations

This is the first time you posted in this thread. What on earth are you talking about being dumped on?

His posts were deleted for some reason. If you look above you, you can see where his previous posts were quoted.

I just removed mine the other day without thinking about it :\ Assumed it was still there from shipping and after getting my car hand waxed it was REALLY noticeable so I just peeled it off, lol.

Are you the same Toyota employee who told a guy on this forum that the TSB for the hpfp only applied to 2012 model FR-S's?

Don't take it personally. Most of us here have come to the conclusion many years ago that your "average" car dealership employee knows next to NOTHING about the vehicles they sell.

The amount of misinformation or just flat out wrong info from dealerships is staggering.

I've had my old car for 13 years. I regret ever peeling that protective sticker off. That area is now seriously pitted where as the rest of the body looks fine.

I have often wondered about the material specification for these stickers as they seem to stand up, stay clear and do not abraid the same way as 3M film?
