@Supermassive
I am usually against the carbon aesthtic pieces but that engine cover is really nice however no one can tell me how much it raises intake/manifold temperature. Since most of us to not have ventilated hoods I don't see this being a smart add on as it traps heat in an area you don't want it to. Can you data log temps with and without it?

Also regarding your new addition of the cusco oil catch, I noticed you opted for the vertical can and cusco also has a horizontal option as well, which is significantly cheaper...major difference in benefit (horizontal v. vertical) to justify the price diff in your opinion?

I've followed your entire build thread and you seem very knowledgable so sorry to bombard with the ?'s but I trust your opinion. Thx

Wheels are eyeballed, and I pretty much wasted a set of rears like this, i will be upgrading to to some new tires soon and will be getting a professional alignment to go with it.

As for the Vertical vs. horizontal Cusco cans...well the vertical has internal baffles which separate the oil from the air while the horizontal does not...from what i've heard the horizontal is almost useless while the vertical has shown immediate dividends.

I'll see what i can do, I have a Poker Run this weekend so I'll do some data logging after that.

First off, this post is just a feeler, to gauge interest in my car and how feasible it would be to sell it for what I would like to get for it.

What I want to possibly sell is my 2013 Whiteout FR-S. Some of you may have follwed my build or have seen some of my posts so here's a link for anyone not in the know: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13381

Basically I have built this car for turbo use and have barely scratched at the power potential of my current setup...basically all I am missing is some tune work. I have the base tune that Visconti did for my car when he came out to set up a base tune to sell to P&L for their kits so in essence the base tune was tuned specifically for this car. I have a pretty extensive list of parts that have been added to the car as well:

P&L Motorsports Stage 1 Turbo kit
Red Wrinkle Coating
Fuel Pump & 700CC DeatschWerks Injectors
EcuTek Cable/License/Base Map
4 Bar MAP Sensor
P&L Motorsports 2.5" Overpipe
P&L Motorsports 2013+ BRZ/FR-S Front Pipe
P&L Motorsports Street Series Catback Exhaust System
AEM Failsafe Gauge
Prime Motoring Gauge Cluster
Agency Power Lightweight Crank Pulley (Red)
Agency Power Adjustable Rear Lower Control Arms
GrimmSpeed Oil Filler Cap Billet Aluminum
Whiteline Positive Shift Kit Bushing
Whiteline Positive Rear Crossmember Mount Insert Bushing
Clutchmasters FX400 6 Puck Clutch/Flywheel
KW Suspension Variant 3 Coilovers
Rays Gram Lights 57 Extreme Wheels (Satin Black) 18x8.5 (x2)
Rays Gram Lights 57 Extreme Wheels (Satin Black) 18x9.5 (x2)
Nitto Invo Tires (235/40/18) x2
Nitto Invo Tires (255/35/18) x2
Muteki Lugnuts - RED CLOSED Ended
Tactrix 3-Port Electronic Boost Control Solenoid
Speed By Design 290LPH Fuel Pump
Subaru BRZ Rear Diffuser
Seibon TS-Style Carbon Fiber Hood
Seibon Carbon Fiber Rear Fin Spoiler
Seibon SN-Style Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler
Billet Pro Shop Short Shifter (Red)
Team Voodoo Shift Knob Magnum Pearl
Pioneer AVIC-X940BT Navigation Head Unit
Cusco Vertical Mount Air/Oil Separator
Password: JDM Carbon Fiber Manifold Cover
Password: JDM Carbon Fiber Fuse Box Cover
Password: JDM Strut Tower Bar and Brace Kit (Custom Orange Anodized)
Password: JDM Engine Dress Up Kit (Orange Anodized)
Wilwood BBK - 6 Piston Super Narrow Calipers (Front Only)
Wilwood Slotted 12.88" Rotors
Wilwood Stainless brake Lines (Front)
Spiegler Stainless Braided Brake Lines (Rear)

Before selling the car I have a few things I plan on doing to the car to include:

Replacing the Front Windshield due to random rock chips
Repairing the rock chips in the front bumper to like new condition.
Recoating the rear wheels to address rock chips on the lips (poke looks good but rocks dont like it much)
Replacing the tires with BF Goodrich g-Force Sport COMP2 tires
Recoating the Intercooler piping in Blue
Buying a 12-14PSI pump gas tune tune from Visconti and dyno tuning it.

Some details about the car currently:

12500 miles on the car (10k on the turbo)

This car has never been tracked or raced, but I have had it faster than most sane people drive.

All fluids (Engine/Transmission/Diff) are running Motul 300 series products
I still have the stock exhaust, hood, clutch, and brakes.

The headlights are blacked out with gloss black paint.

The springs on the KW's have been swapped front to rear to aid rear end traction for harder launches and more confidence coming out of turns on the gas.

The doors have been dynamatted to reduce vibrations

The high pressure fuel pump was replaced under warranty but the new one still chirps.

All work on this car has been perfomed by myself (except for the HPFP) and the stock warranty is still valid...but as you can see not much of this car is untouched so it may be a moot point.

I keep the car garaged, and waxed regularly so the carbon is still black as the day I got it, but I would recommend to anyone to get the hood cleared or painted if you aren't able to garage it.

So with everything totalled up this car has nearly $30k worth of parts not to mention what it would cost for someone to put this all together. So realistically if everything was brand new this might cost someone around $60-65k. Taking into account the fact that it is used, and has minor blemishes (rock chips) would I be out of my mind hoping for $45k-$50k for this car?

Serious responses only please, I really am interested in trying to keep this car in the hands of the community so when I do decide to sell it it will be posted here first, so I want to know what I should ask for the car. Anything less than $40k is a joke because I've seen modded N/A FR-S cars go for $40k. Anyways hopefully I can get some insight as to what I should start asking at, what I should realistically expect, and what the average minimum I should settle for if no offers come through.

It is now a parts car because the parts outweigh the car itself.

You are better off return to stock, sell the parts separately from my experience. Why are you selling anyway?

Yes you would be out of your mind. Where is this modded N/A FR-S that sold for $40k? I want to find its buyer and sell my BRZ to him for $40k. The sad truth is that aftermarket parts rarely raise the value of a car. Now the turbo kit is one of the few things that can raise the value. I would value your car at the price of a P&L turbo kit + the price of a used FR-S, so probably around $30k. Your best bet is going to be to put the car back to as stock as possible to sell it and sell the parts off the car for between 50% to 75% of new cost. I know I will be selling my BRZ next year, so I am definitely interested to see how the process of selling your FR-S goes.

Instead of selling it, take it to the track to reap the benefit of all those modifications!

This thread used to be a favorite of mine, now it just makes me sad...

The most money you can get out of the car will most likely be obtained via parting it out at this point...

Also saw your recent post about revving to 9k.....
This coupled with questionable Christmas tree colour combination in the engine bay more inline with the fast and furious demographic will also seriously limit your chances to sell as a whole.

Christmas tree color? Also I was building cars with engine bays color coordinated before Fast and Furious was a twinkle in the directors eyes. So take it how you want to, but if you can't appreciate a well executed engine bay then sorry I guess. If I lived in a communist nation that made it so that i had to hide any and all mods on my car i guess i would have made my engine bay less interesting to look at...but since I live in a state in country that doesn't get all butt hurt by such things I wanted to make the engine look more interesting than the bland black box that comes standard.

I guess theres always someone who doesn't get a particular aspect of modifying a car. Some people are all function and build fast cars that have no cohesive look to anything because Function is greater than Form to them. Others are all about the look at the expense of function. I prefer Form being Equal to function. I actually buy parts based on how they would look as a part of my car as well as the function they serve. If I can't get a part that looks right and performs as i want then I opt for the function aspect and then look at ways to alter the look via anodizing/painting via a third party or myself. A car is, in essence an extension of the personality of the person building or owning the car. I like people who look at my car to notice the little details and then also notice the quality of my parts choices, because I am an anal retentive perfectionist...how many people do you know clean the underside of their cars? I do, but only because I am regularly under my car and in my OCD mind I can't abide by dirty parts...so yeah, that's the kind of owner I am. I know every rock chip, every scratch, every single imperfection on my car.

I love this car, but it's time to move on to the next project, and maybe the next car will make me want to keep it.

The problem with selling your car as is... is pretty much that everyone wants to do it themselves. I, for one, would love to see my car reach your level of detail and performance. But I also want the journey there. The white car, with black everything else, red accents and a red engine bay is EXACTLY what I plan on doing with my BRZ. (Turbo comes much later)

I wish you luck there.

Is it the lack of traction? If you do part it out I have dibs on the carbon fiber bits.
