Whiteout FR-S by Supermassive
***UPDATE***
Link to current photostream on FLICKR http://www.flickr.com/photos/9071360...7632202352816/ ***UPDATE*** So I'm starting this a little later than intended, work and play got in the way, but I'm hoping to keep this up to date from here on out. First off, I have been out of the import scene since 2000, when I had 98 Supra TT...I did alot to it, but needless to say I don't have it anymore. Since then I had gotten into sportbikes and the subsequent process of making them better. I have owned 3 Suzuki GSX-R 750's (96,01,02), 2 CBR1000RR's (08,09), and now am the proud owner of a 2012 Aprilia RSV4-R. When I "upgrade" my toys I go with a Form = Function mantra, as in, the part that I add to my bike/car needs to be functional AND look good. I will never break from that code unless I decide to competitively race and I dont see that happening anytime soon. So on to the car! I bought my Whiteout FR-S from Big Two Toyota Scion on 13 July 2012. To say that it was a completely spontaneous purchase would be absolutely true. I hadn't known about the car at all until about 3 weeks before I bought one and only then because I saw a black one and had no idea what it was. So I did a little research and drove to the dealer the next day. After a test drive on an auto I was sold, so I put a deposit down on a Whiteout 6MT and waited til they called on the 12th. I went in and saw it in person and said "I want!" and next thing I knew I was the proud owner of a 2013 FR-S. On the showroom floor...the window tint was just applied. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...S/IMAG0120.jpg At home the next day! http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...95096154_o.jpg |
So after having my car for a few days I have come up with a list of things to do to this car. Sure wheels and suspension are on the list as well as exhaust and a future turbo setup, but there's quite a few cosmetic things I want to do as well. So today I knocked a couple things off my list.
First was adding the BRZ optional under spoiler. Had to take off the rear bumper which was not fun in 109 degree Phoenix AZ heat but I think the results are worth it! Bumper and tail lights off... http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...S/IMAG0135.jpg All put back together. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...S/IMAG0136.jpg After that I took a break and checked the mail and found a package with a little something special for my baby. A Team Voodoo shift knob in Pearl finish. The pics don't do it justice. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...S/IMAG0147.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y21...S/IMAG0151.jpg That's it for now, next month is probably gonna be a full exhaust install ;) |
Okay, so I decided to ressurect my old car journal because I am about to embark on a journey of lots of upgrades. I currently have over 4000 miles on my car, have had the crickets under the hood addresed, and have decided its time to see about making some serious power.
This post is pretty much just a tease, because everything I have ordered is, well, not here yet. Except for my coilovers, I did get those in! just not on the car yet as I am waiting for my wheels and rear control arms! For coilovers I have a set of KW Variant 3's, all I have to say so far about them is that they sure look pretty sitting on my bedroom floor, begging me to install them. But I am patient because I'm still waiting on my Vorshlag camber plates for the front and my Agency Power adjustable rear control arms for the back. All this will be keeping my Rays GramLights 57Xtremes in satin black (18x8.5 and 18x9.5) wrapped in Nitto Invo rubber (235/40/18 front, 255/35/18 rear) pointed in the right direction. I also ordered up some Rays red center caps and lugnuts. I think that rounds out the 4 corners pretty well...now on to the juicy bits. I knew when I bought this car that I would eventually be putting a turbo in it, just didnt know much beyond that. So after a bit of looking around I decided that I like the P&L Motorsports Stage 1 turbo kit more than the other available offerings. Once I had my kit picked I had to decide on all the extras. I opted for 750cc injectors, red crinkle coating for the IC piping, AEM Trueboost controller, AEM Wideband gauge, P&L catless midpipe, and P&L catback exhaust. I still need a few more things like a Clutchmaster Stage 3 clutch and flywheel kit and other odds and ends, but as far as the bulk of the mods i think i have them covered. I will eventually have a carbon fiber driveshaft, AP Racing Endurance BBK, and some new seats (Leaning toward Sparco Milano Prestiges or Bride Stradia II's) but I'm gonna restrain myself for a little while at least before buying all that. I hope to keep this up to date while things start coming in and as I install everything and eventually get the thing tuned for E85 and 400+ HP. Guess I am living by the motto: Go big or go home, quite literally. |
Right now the car is sitting in my garage patiently waiting for my actual turbo charger to arrive in the mail:

Good Lord Man! You're the one spending the money and my wallet hurts!
Awesome build. I want pretty much all of it, but unfortunately the SCCA wouldn't think to kindly of me trying to pass that car off as a RTR class ride, lol. |

Yeah, I keep seeing the 818 and thinking about how incredible that thing is going to be.

wow, one hell of a build thread. Keep going!
Curious.. how much did the brz diffuser run you? |
You're a maniac! Lucky you for sponsors, I pay out of pocket on everything lol. People don't sponsor street racers! End of the month the car will be back to it's 500rwhp glory!
